There Was a Crooked Man

Set in Nov 2002: Mike is hired to write a program for a ranch to control stock and supplies; on a family working vacation to the ranch, the foreman is found dead, and the Mike's son is suspected, after they fight over the foreman's treatment of Tom's fiancée and a horse. And all this happens in the middle of the snowstorm of the century, where all the suspects--and potential victims--are trapped on the ranch.
