About the Author

الدكتورة لوتس عبد الكريم . هي صاحبة ومؤسِّسة مجلة الشُّموع ، التي رأس تحريرها الكاتب أحمد بهاء الدين، وقد ولدت بالإسكندرية ، وتنتمي إلى عائلة اهتمت واشتغلت بالفنون والآداب والسياسة ، فقد كان خالها أمين عثمان باشا وزيرًا للمالية في العهد الملكي ، والذي كان أنور السادات أحد الذين اتهموا باغتياله، وكان جدها الكاتب محمد بك عثمان أحد الذين شاركوا في تأسيس الحزب الوطني مع الزعيم مصطفى كامل سنة 1907 ميلادية، وتخرجت في جامعة الإسكندرية بقسم الفلسفة، وحصلت على الماجستير في العلوم الاجتماعية من جامعة لندن، والدكتوراه في الفلسفة من جامعة السوربون في باريس، وتنقَّلت معظم حياتها خارج مصر، ومن أشهر كتبها التي صدرت عن الدار المصرية اللبنانية: «فريدة مصر .. أسرار ملكة وسيرة فنانة»، «رحلة البحث عني: رواية حياة»، «فريدة التاج والفن»، وصدر عنها كتابٌ بعنوان «لوتس عبد الكريم في مقام الكشف»، «سيرتي وأسرارهم».
