Thieves 2 Lovers by K. Webster and J.D. Hollyfield • Family Another amazingly written rom-com by a spectacularly funny duet! When Webster and Hollyfield get together you know it's going to be a hoot. But always be prepared for the unexpected cuz you never know what'll happen when these two awesome authors join forces together, except a spectacular story of course! Linc and Regan are best friends who ended up kissing which made things awkward. Regan's in a relationship with someone else and Linc's not good enough for her, he's the bad boy. It's time to talk about their kiss. They miss each other but can't stop thinking about their shared amazing kiss. Is what they feel for each other love or just a paying moment? Regardless Linc promises he'll always be there for her, he's get best friend. You'll have to read Thieves 2 Lovers to find out what happens between these two. It's funny, but remember life isn't all always just fun and games. (Author's note that I agree with) It is best if you’ve read Text 2 Lovers and Hate 2 Lovers so you’ll understand the dynamic of the characters in this story. Plus, you don’t want to miss out on all the fun of the first two books! Due to explicit sexual content and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via the author via bookfunnel for an honest review.
It's always bittersweet to say goodbye to a series you've fallen in love with. "Thieves 2 Lovers" is the perfectly finished novel in the 2 Lovers series. WARNING: You will need a handkerchief as well as a fresh spare pair of panties when reading this book. It's so worth it! As with all of K. Webster and J. D. Hollyfield's 2 Lovers books you'll snort laughing, swoon, gasp, and cry. This book especially jerks those tears. Linc Carter is magnificent in his machismo as well as his vulnerabilities. Reagan begins as a weak Heroine but with Linc's love makes her happier and braver. In fact, Linc helps Reagan delve more into what she wants sexually and opens many interesting and exciting doors. There's a couple of hilarious scenes involving Tumblr. Also Reagan's brother Roman and Linc have their recurring love/hate show going on which is wonderfully fun and irreverent. "Thieves 2 Lovers" is the perfect blend of Romance, Comedy, spicy Sex, and Thrills. Just like the previous two books in the series this is a true Romantic/Comedy. Linc and Reagan have fabulous best friend/lover chemistry and rapport. Their banter is witty and rapid-fire. Their move from best friends to lovers is sweet and loving. Bottom-line every book in the 2 Lovers series is a jewel. "Thieves 2 Lovers" gives the dedicated reader the satisfaction of having the previous heroes and heroines say their good-byes. A nicely tied bow on this series finale. The characters are engaging, the storyline is intriguing, and the pace is brisk and steady. K. Webster and J. D. Hollyfield have a perfect series with their joint 2 Lovers series. The entire series is a "One Click" in my opinion. *voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from IndieSage PR* Ugh, damn it! I have such feels with this right now, it was all so sweet and perfect and then it got so SCARY and I totally forgot who co-wrote this and oh my God, I need a moment to compose myself. So this is the first I've read in the 2 Lovers series. I will definitely be checking out the beginning because that ending had me crying. Ugh. The writing was perfect; the words flowed so well I forgot I was reading. It was intense, and hilarious, and unbelievably sexy. I LOVE these two and how mischievous they came off. I didn't even have to read the first two to already get the dynamics, and I bloody loved it all. It was all just so perfect. A must read for the romance fans that love a good danger thrown in, be it from the illegal guns or the brotherly ones that will not hesitate to bury a guy. This blew me away and I am not even surprised by it. Forget romance fans. Everyone should read it.
***4 ‘Thieves to One Another’s Hearts’ Stars*** Talk about being on an emotional roller coaster. I swear one second I was laughing over what the characters were getting up to and then the next I wanted reach out and shake some sense into them. Then there was that whole teary/sniffly thing that happened. The feels were everywhere and even at my most frustrated with them characters I couldn’t put the book down. I devoured it and absolutely loved the ending! I adored Linc. Absolutely ADORED the man. Yes, he f$%ks up a lot, but as one character points out he is a “kind hearted f$%k up”. He may make horrible choices and not see what the consequences of his choices will bring, but his heart is absolutely golden when it comes to those he calls his own. Reagan. I swear this girl. I went into this book loving Reagan, but lemme tell you she gave me a run for my money in the first half of the book and I almost had to call it a day because I just couldn’t deal with some of her choices. But as the book progressed aka Linc became more of a permanent fixture in her life, the strong, feisty woman I always pictured her to be finally came out to play and by the end I loved her. Linc and Reagan’s journey is all kinds of crazy. Some of it is OTT. Some of what goes on will drive you to drink because of the TSTL decisions that are made. But what kept me turning the page was how amazing Linc and Reagan were when they were together. To put it simply, they fit. They were the missing pieces in each others lives. They saw each others hearts and helped to make the other stronger. And yes, they were the kind of hot that you should just not bother with panties while reading this. The crazy of course creates a huge sinkhole in their journey, and holy h$%^l is it a massive one, but I loved how everything turned out in the end. This book, and series, had me questioning my own sanity at times with the crazy, OTT that happens in the books, but when everything was said and done this was a fun, laugh out loud, roll your eyes until they hurt series with a lot of heart. The characters are all well written and even when you want to gut them with a spoon, you can’t help but turn the page to see what they’ll get up to next. It is a little sad that this is the end of the series, but the epilogue was absolutely brilliant and there is always Molly *BSEG* ~ Copy provided by IndieSage PR & voluntarily reviewed ~
Favorite Quotes: Roman would track him down and rip his balls off through his spine. “NO!” We all say in unison, knowing the story about Roman and his attempt at stripping for Andie when he knocked over the billions of candles he had lit, setting the rug on fire, and almost burning his junk off by trying to put it out. The mental picture of his privates practically on fire caused me sleep issues for months. You’re under my control, Lincoln Holloway. I’m woman-handling you. My Review: Thieves 2 Lovers may just be my favorite of the bunch but the entire 2 Lovers series has been wicked good fun, I feel a bit misty and may go into mourning with the knowledge the series is now complete, no more, end of the line, kaput. But what an amusing and adventurous ride it was! I’ll never be able to look spaghetti filled plates without thinking of Linc and Reagan and experiencing an increase in heart rate. I delighted in this lecherous and lusty group of individuals and adored each and every one of them, but I am amazed they managed to get any work done at all. Between the lascivious sensual scenes and the dirty talking and salacious inner musings; the clever storyline was heaving with hilarious and filthy banter, expletive filled dialogue, and a bit of intrigue, danger, a heart squeezing health scare, and problematic temper flares and family issues. The Garden of Thievery where they creatively displayed the expensive personal items they had pilfered from her older brother was truly ingenious. I have worshiped at the altar of J.D. Hollyfield for some time now and realize I have actually been remiss in my adulation; it appears a redesign of my shrine to smut is in order to include the naughty and creative mastermind known as K. Webster. I see an afternoon of one-clicking added to my schedule.
