Novella length at 116 pages, conveniently not listed in product details, with a full book price. Very poor formatting preventing the use of dark or black background. Great author but this is very disappointing.

Book 2 of the Marcello Gentileschi sisters/princesses centers around Detective Francesca/Frankie Marcello. She left her previous station after an affair gone wrong. Now she is determined to stay aloof, and just do her job. While keeping her true identity a secret from everyone. Tyrell/Ty Beauregard Collingsworth, is a detective in the new station. He comes from a wealthy family and knows all about having to prove himself to his co-workers. What starts out as two co-workers always sparring at each other, starts to change after a weekend away in training. But Frankie has been burned before and stops the relationship before it starts. The story was engaging and we get a chance to visit with some characters from the author’s series, To Serve and Protect. Which by the way, is where the first of the Gentileschi princesses is introduced. As well as get a chance to meet and/or reacquaint ourselves with the other sisters. I appreciate the fact that the author gives the reader strong, independent women as well as men that appreciate them. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
