A wry play on words, TWICE's fourth Korean full-length album, 2025's THIS IS FOR, finds the K-pop girl group in an upbeat and swaggering dance club mood. The album arrives just as the group are preparing to celebrate their 10th anniversary, a period that saw them ascend to the top of the charts, both in Korea and Japan as well as the United States, where 2021's Formula of Love: O+T=<3 reached number three on the Billboard 200. THIS IS FOR continues in the upbeat trajectory of that album, as evidenced by the hip-hop-infused female empowerment of the title-track, the synthy '80s dance-rock of "Mars," and the breezy, acoustic guitar-accented romanticism of "Peach Gelato." We also get a handful of party-ready sub-units tracks, like the Gwen Stefani-esque "Battitude" and shimmering "G.O.A.T.," where Mina, Dahyun, and Chaeyoung proclaim their -- and by proxy, all of TWICE's --phoenix-like pop supremacy, singing, "Got me on a roll, yeah, I breathe fire/Try to bring me low but I go higher." ~ Matt Collar
