I fell in love with the Thoughtless series, so when I saw that there was a new book coming out and that it was going to be from Kellan's POV, I said, oh, heck yeah! It's about time. I have been wanting to get inside of Kellan's head ever since I read the first book. Now this is where this review, my thoughts, gets hard for me, because I liked Kiera in Thoughtless. I could understand that she was naive and she’d never been away from her family or home, and that Danny was her first boyfriend; her first everything. And now she has moved away from home and out on her on, going to college, working at a Pete's bar, and living with Danny. Life was coming fast at this naive girl. And then we add hot sexy-as-sin rock singer with his own band, Kellan Kyle. Yeah, I could see where Kiera was on overload to grow up fast. I had to keep reminding myself of these things about Kiera when reading this story though Kellan's POV, for the pain Kiera was causing, because I really didn’t want to like Kiera in this book. My heart was ripped to pieces, torn to shreds for Kellan. OMG how much this broken man endured from Kiera for being in love with her. I knew Kellan was a broken man from Thoughtless, but I couldn't see how deep his brokenness went until seeing through his POV. Kellan lived in pain and heartache. This man was crushed. If you haven't read the Thoughtless series, then I highly recommend that you do—but I don't know if I would recommend that you read Kellan's POV first. You might not be able to see the real truth of who Kiera's character is. I do feel the titles are true to the characters of these books. Keira's is definitely thoughtless and Kellan's is most definitely thoughtful. I hope S.C. Stephens is planning to continue to give readers the other two books, Effortless and Reckless from Kellan's POV, also. I would love to see Kellan's healing process through the next two books just as I got to see Kiera's growth into a secure, mature woman though these two books. I higly recommend Thoughtful as a must read. You will fall even more in love with the sexy rock singer Kellan Kyle the second time around.

Thoughtful - S. C. Stephens Review By : Anna Rodriguez Angels voice. Crazy friends. Messy hair. Midnight blue eyes. Kellan Kyle is the ultimate rock star. At least in his local bar, Pete’s, he is. The crowds cheer for him, women throw themselves at him, and guys want to be him. But his life wasn’t always as stable as it seems. Especially when long time friend Denny and his girlfriend, Kiera, move in to Kella’s spare bedroom, turning his life into a rollercoaster. In Thoughtful, we get to know what happened in Kellan's past, and what really went down in his mind as he found, gained, and lost love. It’s Kellan’s turn to shine. “She was comfort and pain, wrapped up in one beautiful package…that wasn’t mine.” I had high hopes for this book. I counted down the days until it was released. With my passionate love for Thoughtless, finding out Kellan was going to have his own book blew my mind. I was exactic. And this book, just like the Thoughtless series, did not let me down. S.C. Stephens knows how to juggle with readers emotions so perfectly. Just like Kiera, there were time where I “needed a minute”. This book emotionally drained me. Figuring out just how lonely Kellan was, and how he wanted to do everything to be able to love Kiera, but not lose Denny, was heartbreaking. It was also hilarious! Griffin’s crudeness never gets old, and there were times that I smiled at my screen like an idiot. This wasn't a story where you just reread the same book in a different POV. S.C. Stephens wrote this beautifully, and I could literally feel myself getting to know and experiencing Kellan. The author plotted everything in such an intense way, that when the climax hit, it was almost like I was giddy about it, yet sad at the same time. Kiera was a naive, and sometimes selfish person. No, scratch that, she was a selfish person. In Thoughtless, I understood where she was coming from. Kiera’s and Kellan’s situation wasn't easy, but it was powerful and passionate even through the guilt. In Thoughtful, she got me full-on pissed. Knowing how much Kellan was hurting and to have her walk over him like it was nothing was frustrating. Sometimes I wished Kellan would just leave her. But he loved her, and nothing could stop that, not even her being his best friend’s girlfriend. Thoughtful was the perfect juggle of love, hatred, unfaithfulness, and forgiveness. S.C.Stephens knows how to become a character, and make the reader fall in love with the original story all over again.

I love the Thoughtless series but I have to admit that Thoughtful fell a little flat for me. I think a lot had to do with me already knowing where the story was headed that Thoughtful just didn't grab me the same what Thoughless did. I enjoyed reading Thoughtful and appreciate getting to peek inside Kellan's mind allowing me to truly understand what he was thinking/feeling throughout the story. There are great moments with him and Evan along with Denny that really help solidify all of those relationships.

Thoughtful, S. C. Stephens Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre:NA, Contemporary romance   Thoughtless and the follow ups were among the first NA reads I found, and I loved them. I don’t like cheating, and yet in some books it creates a fabulous drama and we see just how the characters end up in situations they never intended to – they hurt those they love through their actions, and yet somehow we can’t see what else they could do given the circumstances – except not do it of course, and then we’d be lacking a book! So cheating written like this works for me,even though in real life its one of my big No, nos. I’ve read alternate POV books before, some of which worked well and some which have been for me disasters and was curious to how this one would work out.   Kellen, who couldn’t love him, and yet when I read the story from Kiera’s POV I held him much more responsible. Through his eyes though I’ve looked at the story in a totally different way. Even knowing what happens and when it’s still fresh, unique in that I see his actions in a very different way now I know his story and background more fully. My heart ached for him at times, he was just so lonely and alone. I loved the way Matt told him the band was his family – he needed to know that too. Kiera, I saw her in a different light, even though Kellen adores her I was getting annoyed at her swaying between them, not letting him leave when it was so clear staying was hurting him. Somehow in the first book I sympathised more with her, and yet here when I see how her actions are destroying Kellen and taking them so close to the edge I got really annoyed at her selfishness. Then when she just keeps on asking for more time –  I know she loves Denny too and needed it, and yet it was so hard for Kellen to play second place all the while when he already had such low self esteem.   Even though I knew what happened after the big fight it still shocked me, and I understood why Kellen took the decision he did – he needed that certainty. It made for a perfect ending, one still filled with drama and excitement, one where I still kept holding my breath waiting for things to Finally - finally go right for them. I felt for poor Denny all the way through – he was just so so oblivious til the end and then so broken....I’m glad things finally picked up for him too.   This is one of the alternate POV that works – I still prefer them to run concurrently in a novel, but of course this was a readers request after thought so that couldn’t happen. Its great to see though how SC Stephens manages to inject it with fresh material, to keep the reader gripped even knowing the story, and where it goes. I’m one of those readers who love to re read books, finding things I missed first time round knowing the ending, and this book works like that – there are things that I recall on reading and yet missed the relevance first time round. Its a lovely looong novel too at 560 pages ( over 8,000 locations on kindle) and that's a real treat in this time when it seems books are getting shorter and shorter and divided into sections. A whole story, full of drama, emotion and beautiful romance this shows just how fabulous the NA genre can be when done well – even for people like me who are well past the NA age group!! It could be read and enjoyed IMO even if you’ve not read the first books.   Stars: Five, a fabulous read, one of the few alternate POV reads that not only works for me but is a real gem. I was over this book before page 150. Seriously the same thing over and over and so unbelievable. A rock lead singer having sex with a different girl every night and all of a sudden falls for his friend's girlfriend and totally quits sex. No masturbating. Lets them continue to stay in his house while he listens to them and he's miserable. No appreciation for such a spineless character and the story could've been told in 100 pages. I still haven't finished. I can only tolerate for short periods.

Getting things through Kellan's POV was excellent. Although I found Keira was more wishy washy from his POV. Still I loved everything thing about it. Thanks S.C. Stephens for giving us more Kellan. Can't wait for Griffin's story to be released.

After reading this novel, I fell more in love with Kellan Kyle, and his story was sad, happy and amazing. It was amazing to read the story in Kellan point of view, and how he felt throughout his journey in discovering of love. Towards the end of the novel, I started crying because there was a moment between Kiera and Kellan that touch my heart. I love reading their journey together over and over because it is really an amazing series. I can not wait until Untamed comes out, and hear what is going on in Griffin's mind.

The Thoughtless series has been one of my favorite series ever since I first read it. Kellan Kyle is just one of those characters that don't make it easy for a reader to forget him. He is an up and coming rock-star who is bound to make it big in the music industry. He is a sex god and there isn't a single person who doesn't know who Kellan Kyle is. The man, the legend and lead singer of the D-Bags. Ever since the first book, all I wanted was to get inside his head. I wanted to see his thought process, why he was the way he was and did the things he did. I wanted to know what it felt like to go through the whole roller coaster that was the beginning of his and Kiera's relationship. This book was exactly what I expected it to be. It didn't disappoint a single bit. First of all, it is not by all means a short read. This is one of those books you need to sit down with and take some time to read and actually enjoy it. Although the plot moves slowly, it is a very smooth and amazing book. I loved watching Kellan slowly realize just how serious his feeling for Kiera were from the very beginning. I loved how he was constantly giving more and more pieces of himself to her until he had nothing and yet he never for a second regretted it. He gave all he had and it was all worth it just to be near her. A love like that is so powerful it can either make you or break you. I will admit that while reading this book, I got frustrated with both Kellan AND Kiera. Kiera was constantly clueless as to what she was doing. She didn't think about the consequences of her actions until the actions were already done. Then again, I think that is what frustrated everyone. Besides that, this book was addictive. Kellan and Kiera never stood a chance away from one another. It's like if they were made specifically for each other. It was unstoppable. They are exactly what one another needed. I loved getting to experience this emotional roller coaster from Kellan's point of view. All throughout the book, the only thing I wanted was to wrap him up in a blanket and feed him cookies. It was wonderful. I absolutely love this authors books.

This was a rough one for me. I absolutely loved this series but this one just wasn't the same. The times when we got to see Kellan away from Keira, the book was interesting but when they were together it was rather dull. Most of their dialogue was glanced over as well as their interactions. I just did not feel the same connection between them as I did in TL. I liked seeing Kellan's interactions with the band but when his thoughts drifted to Keira, it was rather repetitive. I could only stand to hear about how beautiful she was & how gorgeous her eyes were so many times before it became nauseating. The last quarter of the book held my attention seeing as how we never got Kellan's side of the story once they admitted they loved each other. But unfortunately I cannot base my review on just the last 25% of this book. I still have high hopes for Griffin's book because SC can write great material & I can only imagine what's going to come out of his mouth. - She was my greatest pain, and my only salvation. She was the only one who could heal this hole in my heart, a hole she'd torn open.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin Stars S.C. Stephens newest book, Thoughtful, is Kellan's POV of his and Kiera's love story.  This is a well thought out and intense look at how Kellan feels about the progression of the on again off again love triangle between Kellan, Kiera and Denny.  The characters are well thought out and beautifully created with details that will leave the reader breathless and aching for Kellan, as well as the other characters involved.  Kellan is multi-dimensional.  He was abused as a child, never been loved and searching for anything that will give him the ability to feel something that resembles love.  Never having it, when his best friend Denny moves into his home with his girlfriend, things change for Kellan in a most unexpected way.  Kellan is entranced by the love that the two share, but at the same time begins to long for what they have.  Then in a drunken stupor, he lets his guard down and sleeps with Kiera who has captured his heart in a subtle yet very complicated way.  Everything changes for Kellan, yet Kiera can't make up her mind which man to choose.  With an endless love affair, it finally comes to an unavoidable end, and the truth finally comes out.  In one heart stomping moment, things come to light for the cheating couple as well as Denny.  Everyone is hurt and love seems lost.  However, when all is settled, love finds a way.  Kellan loves passionately and Kiera finally loves without inhibitions.  This POV will rock you to the core!  I was captured by his longing and need to be loved.  This was a wonderful look at how love can conquer all, no matter the circumstances.  Thank you S.C. for giving us Kellan's side of the story! Hero -  4.5 stars Heroine - 4.5 stars Steam Level: 4.5 stars                        Plot: 4.5 stars Cliffhanger: No Would I recommend this book:  Yes!  This is a great insight into how "he" feels with an intense underlying sense of love, passion and unrelenting need. Would I read other books by this author:  Yes!  This author has an interesting style of writing.  The way she creates her stories is both, touching and beautiful.  I enjoy her sense of what her characters POV is and also the way she is able to communicate that in her books.   ***Received an ARC of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review***

I loved Thoughtless and could not wait for Kellan's story. I don't know if it took too long to get Kellan's story or if it just felt like the same book again just that Kellan whined through the whole thing. It just wasn't as good as the first time reading their story.

I can't condone the path to each other, but at the same time, I couldn't help rooting for Kiera and Kellan the whole time. That says a great deal about the emotional impact of the author.

Though it did show more of his thoughts on their relationship, it was not what I expected. Very dissapointed because the 3 book series was excellent. Waste of my money.
