This is one of the best Shifter books that I have read in a very long time. It has everything that I crave in this type of book. It has a real life, true to herself heroine that also happens to be not only a coffee drinking calico kitty with beautiful calico eyes, but also a very large leopard. The male is a very hot ex-marine turned cowboy. Both of them have their secrets. Both of them are trying very hard to fight their attraction. From the initial meeting to the books ending it is one bumpy road that the author traverses very easily. The action scenes are written so one can very easily visualize each move, character and thought. The conversations have just the right amount of humor that makes you giggle and think “I gotta remember that one”. Kudos to Ms. Margaret Taylor for giving us yet another series that makes us eagerly wait, impatiently I may add, for the next book.
