Newly Revised

From best-selling authors Patricia Rice, Adrienne deWolfe, Sharon Ihle and Patricia Hagan come four award-winning tales featuring four feisty lady troublemakers who finally meet their match. Four complete novels in one volume.

TEXAS LILY: In a time when women are to be seen and not heard, widowed Lily Porter has a child to raise and a ranch to save. Cade is part Apache brave, part Mexican grandee, the perfect choice for ranch foreman, until Cade turns all that power and forbidden passion on Lily.

TEXAS OUTLAW: Fancy Holleday has more nerve than the average thief. No man can resist her smoky voice and violet eyes—including federal tin-star, Cord Rawlins. Cord has sworn to resist, but the Nevada penitentiary is a long ride north, and Fancy's wicked smile hides a desperate secret.

THE LAW AND MISS PENNY: When US Marshal Morgan Slater awakes, head throbbing, he believes a lovely lady's claim that he is her cousin and member of her family's medicine show. Mariah has good reason for misleading the hard-headed lawman hell-bent on shutting down her legitimate business—until cousinly banter turns into forbidden passion.

SAY YOU LOVE ME: Jacie Calhoun refuses to marry the man to whom she's promised, after learning that her mother, taken captive long-ago by the Comanche, might still be alive. But warrior Luke Howling Wolf isn't about to give up his beloved adopted mother—Sunstar—his tribe's revered medicine woman, despite his passion for Jacie.

The books are adult only due to the explicit sex scenes; the books are written in a simple and easily understood style especially the last one of the 99 cent boxed set. The second book was the best of the set though seemed a combination of a once popular tv western and the song Fancy.

These are better than the 2-star rating they have in June 2013 and a great deal as a boxed set. It's only the last story, Say You Love Me, that has a font problem on a few chapters. Maybe B&N can fix it.

If you want to escape from the humdrum of life, this romance novel will let you relax in pre war Texas before the Alamo, etc. The heroine came from a Southern belle background who was with child. She marries an older Texas rancher. The rancher disappears, and she can't run a ranch as a woman! Well, not that she isn't capable, but the culture doesn't respect a woman's authority! She hires a foreman that is an outcast of that society because he i part Indian and Spanish. The stories evolves into romance and suspense! This could be used for book discusion dealing with racial prejudices and the treatment of woman at that time in history!

Just finished reading the set. Not usually the genre I go with, but I did enjoy them all. For a more mature reader as there are some pretty sexy story lines. Easy to skip and move on to the "story" for those who don't care to indulge.

I read the first one, Texas Lilly, and was horrified by the rape portrayed as good sex. Forced marriage is not sexy. Waking up from a near - death fever to find him inside you is rape and definitely not sexy. Can we please get the idea that consent is sexy. Also foreplay is sexy and there was none of that here. Seriously, though, good sex requires full consent and knowledge of what is happening. That was absent in the majority of the "sex" scenes in this book. On another level the book was way to long as it took forever to move the too many story lines through multiple journeys to bring them to a happy tied in a bow conclusion. I thought this thing was never going to end. And when it did I realized that I didn't really care about any of the characters anyway.

1. Texas Lily: I could not put this down; wanted to keep reading it. 2. Texas Outlaw: Good reading, again could not put novel down. 3. The Law and Miss Penny: I just found this hard to belive. 4. Say You Love Me: This was good reading up to the last chapters which were disappointing.
