Yet the information lay, piecemeal, in documents making passing reference to that scene, in newspaper articles, sometimes in official documents, in the year-books, blue-books and Council Papers, and on occasions in letters to a friend.... This is a detailed history and guide to this archipelagic nation in the southern Caribbean. It includes black and white photographs and maps.

About the Author

Michael Anthony was born in 1930. He is an author of fictional novels, mainly set in Trinidad. He is also a historian, who has published many works on the history of Trinidad and Tobago. He has also written extensively about Christopher Columbus. The award-winning movie, Green Days by the River, (September 2017) is based on his novel of the same name. Green Days by the River was first published in London in 1968. Since then, it has been reprinted many times. It was also on the English Literature curriculum for more than a decade, in Trinidad and Tobago high schools.
