Aliyana Montero will do anything to rescue her sister from the ruthless kidnappers who took her from outside the school where she works. Even if that means accepting help from Ram Torres, the most infuriating--and sexy--man Ali has ever met. She and Ram first met on a mission in Afghanistan and they clashed instantly. Ram accused her of being hotheaded and impulsive. She thought he was cold and arrogant. Both refused to acknowledge the heat that flared between them. Now, as her sister's life hangs in the balance, Ali will have to swallow her pride and once again work with the man who has secretly haunted her dreams.

Whoa…not quite sure how to tell you about this book without any spoilers. It is book 7 in the Delos Series however it can be read as a standalone…also know that there is an “ending” to this book. However, the author tells us there is more to their story. Wonderful! I can’t wait. I love the entire Delos Series so I’ve enjoyed reading all the books and love to “visit” with previous characters. Know that this isn’t a requirement, just an enjoyment. We meet Aliyana (Ali) Montero and Ram Torres who actually work together – in a war torn setting kinda way! – in Afghanistan. The beginning of the book gives us their back story, if you will, and sets the tone for their relationship. Jump ahead a couple of years and Ali needs Delos’ help to locate her kidnapped sister. Ram is the person who heads up the rescue for Delos. Trust that this is a simple overview and Ms. McKenna weaves a tale of intrigue, war, love, compassion…and just about every emotion you can think of. It’s an amazing tale of what happens in war and life that will bring people together, make them stronger, or sometimes tear them apart. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
