Triumph Through Trials: The Epistle of James
Trials and tragedies are notorious for keeping sloppy appointment books. We never quite know when they will knock on the door of our lives. But knock they will. God does not shield His children from trials; in fact, some trials come our way simply because we are Gods children. A lot of it doesnt make much sense. But that is precisely when God does His best workironically, in the darkness of our trials. James is a letter written precisely to encourage Gods children when the fog rolls in. Though James does not give us all the answers, it does offer some of the answers to why bad things happen to good people.

"Dr. Anderson is a lifelong close friend of mine. I have also known him as one of the most gifted interpreters of God's Word that I know. In Dave's skilled hands the commentary resonates with textual expertise and the richness of experience. I enthusiastically commend his insights to the readers of this book."
Lanier Burns, Research Scholar at Dallas Theological Seminary
