Tumble by Adriana Locke is the first book in her brand new series Dogwood Lane. Every book is about another couple and can be read as a standalone. Meet Neely. She's a successful reporter, lives in NY and never goes home. Her heart was broken in a cruel and evil way, just after highschool graduation and she never had it in her to go back. But now the time is right. She learns pretty quick how much she missed her friends and family. And she can't avoid Him any longer, Dane Madden. Dane was her boyfriend, destined to be her one and HEA, but in typical alpha manier he decided to throw fate a wrench and in this wake he destroyed everything. But now his girl is back. I started reading and was glued to the pages. I read the book in one sitting and let me tell you, it gave me All the feels. I was sad, I was happy and at somne point I was so so angry at the characters. Dane is not my favorite character. I didn't like him when was discovered what he did and later on I didn't care for him at all. He's weak and hides behind I'm sorries and I would do it again. This infuriating man. But I loved the story and I get that a romance deserves a beautiful hea and Tumble got exactly that. I recommend the book and give 5 stars.

Adriana Locke is a new author to me and I have absolutely no idea why that is. I love small town romances and when you throw in a single dad I just couldn’t resist. Adriana Locke had me from chapter one as I was anxious to see how the story panned out. When Neely returns to her hometown of Dogwood Lane she has no idea that the man who shattered her heart will be one of the first people she sees. Not only that but Dane has an adorable little girl named Mia. I loved how swoon worth Dane was and the fact that Neely was strong, feisty and determined. Mia was just too adorable for words and almost steals the book away from Dane and Neely. The secondary characters were just as interesting and I look forward to reading more from Dogwood Lane. Tumble was well written and full of love, romance, laughter and the opportunity for a second chance at love. I appreciated that although Dane and Neely had history which had shaped their present, they did not fall instantly back into a relationship. In fact if I am being totally honest, I am not too sure I would have given Dane another chance. Can Dane convince Neely to take another chance on them or are these two destined to lives their lives apart?

I'm usually a huge, huge fan of second chance romance novels. and I wanted to love this story, but I found it too angsty and slow moving. I live for chemistry, for passion, for deep love. Neely and Dane don't reconcile until halfway through the novel, and even then, their connection felt strained.

This is a great second chance romance. I found myself invested in this story within the first few chapters and flew through it in one day. Neely and Dane’s story isn’t necessarily unique but it is very well told. It also has relatable secondary characters and I would love to see them get their own stories. I absolutely recommend this book!

Tumble is a swoon-worthy small town second chance romance with so much heart! It's utterly human and plausible with the the perfect timing of a great romance novel. It quickly became one of those books that I stayed up way too late to finish reading! And that's saying something, especially for this type of story: I usually shy away from single-parent romances, but Adriana as the author convinced me to give this one a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Neely and Dane's chemistry jumps of the pages, and the emotion runs deep, too. Things aren't immediately and easily fixed--instead, both have to work to process their feelings and figure out where things truly stand. Neely's sports writing backstory gives awesome depth to her character, and I loved getting to know a bit about her professional life as well as her personal one. A pet peeve of mine is when authors try to mix too much religion into romance, and Tumble's got a noticeable amount of prayer references... but they honestly work. They're well-timed and add a spiritual level to the characters that makes sense, especially for the small town setting, without being awkwardly woven into the romance parts. Overall, I highly recommend Tumble, and I plan to continue the Dogwood Lane series of interconnected standalones. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you are looking for an exciting second chance romance, with a nice combination of plot, heat, and character development, then Tumble is for you. This is the first book from the author's brand new series Dogwood Lane, and it can be read as a standalone. Adriana Locke is a new author for me, and I am so glad I made her acquaintance. Her earlier books are highly rated, so I am adding a few them to my TBR list. Neely Kimber is a creative sports journalist whom has worked very hard to penetrate the glass ceiling. Her ideas are so good, her boss takes credit for them, which prevents her from reaching the next level in her career. As a result, she quits her job. With some newfound time on her hands, she returns to her small hometown for a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of New York City. She runs into her ex and first love, Dane Madden, and they once again discover that they are soulmates. After breaking Neely's heart way back when, Dane has to prove that he is worthy of her love. Dane's daughter Mia is adorable and she and Neely bond over their love of gymnastics. This is a well-written book with some dramatic twists and turns that kept me engaged from beginning to end. All the characters are interesting, and I liked getting to know Neely, Dane, and Mia. Although Neely and Dane have amazing chemistry, their sexy times come few and far between. Overall, Tumble is a really good narrative and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

Second chance romances are kind of my thing right now. I have read many, loving each, and finding them each unique in their own ways. Tumble is unique not because of the second chance romance but because of Mia. Mia is Dane’s (love that name) daughter. She is smart, she is sassy, she is so fun that I loved how much of a role she played in the relationship of Neely and Dane. She kept them all on their toes and made them take stock of what they wanted. Tumble is sweet and feels real to me. The characters have broken hearts that need closure. That closure has to come from the two of them being together, finding their happiness, and coming to accept what had happen in the past. Both Dan and Neely are strong, successful, and loving people who know what they want in life and know what has to be done to get there. I look forward to more with these characters. There are many secondary characters that I’d love to see get their HEA’s.

Dogwood Lane may be a small time town but it has more heart than NYC has streets. Adriana Locke always makes me want to move. I fall in love with her towns, her characters, and her love stories. Tumble isn't any different. Dogwood Lane is home for Neely though it's been ten years since she took off. Running from heartache and to a future, she never looked back. Now it comes crashing in on her drive back into town. The one that used to be everything. The mom she left behind. He friends she hasn't spoken to but feels like she just left. Everything is different and yet so much the same. I love that this is a second chance with The One. I am not gonna lie I was devastated before learning why and even more heartbroken after but love...love makes this hard and I'm some cases...It makes them easy. Tumble is just the beginning of the story. I look forward to more news from Dogwood Lane and it's cast of loveable characters. Even the ones you want to shake to wake up! At first, I was unsure if I would be able to finish this story after the big reveal how Dane broke Neely's heart,. But I love Adriana's writing and the story line was coming together. I only wished Neely made Dane "work for it" a lot more than what he had too. But that is where the rant ends for me. After I got over that part, I felt the romance start to pick up. I was not expecting Mia and how developed her character was. Dane had me swooning over him. Neely broke my heart a time or two. The emotions were raging through me with Tumble. From being angry, to heartbroken, then surprised, to the major heat factor, to finally a HEA. Tumble has it all! This is a small town second chance romance. Tumble will have you stumbling over each and every page!

It's been a minute since I last read an Adriana Locke book and this book reminded me why I enjoy her stories so much! Neely is back in Tennessee licking her wounds. Work has disappointed her and she's in a desperate need of a break from NYC. Neely and Dane have a past. She doesn't want to relieve what happened between them, but due to their friends, being around each other is unavoidable. I enjoyed the way Adriana drew the reader in and found these two people still drawn to each other and caring about each other despite the things of the past. It was a sweet second-chance romance that made me swoon and FEEL all the emotions. I thought this was a fun start to this series and I'm looking forward to the next book!

This is a second chance romance. Neely has come home after quitting her job in New York City to her small town in Tennessee. She prays to not run into her first love, Dane, but she does. She has a love of gymnastics and so does Dane's daughter, Mia. These characters are flawed, but aren't we all. The real challenge will be if Neely finds her true passion in a small town where it belongs! Loved this book! 5 stars

Tumble (Dogwood Lane #1) written by Adriana Locke is a second chance romance that will capture your heart from the first page to the last. I have a few of this author’s books on my want to read list but for some reason have not gotten around to reading one of them. So when this book became available on NetGalley, I figured now was a great time to read one of Ms. Locke’s books, and I am happy that I did. Tumble is an emotional, romantic ride that will warm your heart and had me cheering on the two main characters, Neely and Dane. The story is told from the first person point of view going between the two main characters with both characters imparting their versions of the past. And that past holds a ton of drama, but unfortunately for you, I will not be discussing that past in my review as I consider that a spoiler. I love the storyline of second chance love. This book is well written and the storyline utterly believable even though it was a bit predictable, but sometimes it's not about whether you are able to figure out what is going to happen in a book but the journey the books takes you on while you are reading it. Neely comes home to Dogwood Lane, Tennessee, after living and building a career as a journalist in New York City where she was overlooked for her dream job. She comes home to regroup and center herself. Dane a hunky country boy on the one hand and on the other side a single father who is unconditionally devoted to his daughter Mia, but he has never forgotten what he had with Neely, and so the country version of seduction begins. Tumble is a small town romance that hit all of my country girl buttons, and I thoroughly enjoy this book. Tumble has amazing support characters, and I look forward to reading their stories. This is an excellent start to, and I look forward to the next book. ***I kindly received this galley by way of NetGalley/publisher/author. I was not contacted, asked or required to leave a review. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. I have voluntarily read this book, and this review is my honest opinion .***

Dane and Neely were a high school couple that were right for each other until they weren't. Too much to drink, a decision that you couldn't take back, 2 broken hearts and 10 years later you have Neely coming home for a few days. She doesn't want to see Dane but of course she's running into him all over town. He's as hot as he was in high school if not hotter since he's gotten older. He's got a good heart and is still in love with Neely but has their situation really changed? I love single dad's and Dane is a great dad to Mia. He's not perfect but he gives it a 110%. I absolutely adore their relationship. Is Dane going to fight for Neely this time? Is Neely going to see what's right in front of her face before she goes back to her dream job in New York? Will they be able to work it out this time and get their HEA or is there too much water under the bridge?

Adriana Locke knows how to write a book. From the very first page I fell in love with DogWood Lane and all the characters in the book. The first book in this series is about Dane and Neely. From the moment I read their first scene together I knew they belonged with each other. Dane is the perfect guy who has a lot of regrets from his past. He has tried so hard to move on from Neely but when he sees her again it all comes back. Neely has just quit her job and has come home for the first time in a really long time. She does not really know what she wants to do with her future. When she sees Dane again things change. She is not really sure what she wants anymore. She only knows that harder she tries to stay away from him the more she wants to be with him. You throw in all their friends and family, Dane's daughter and her friends you have yourself one amazing read. This book made me laugh out loud so many time with all the things going on and even some of the stuff that came out of the characters mouths. This book was so well written it was very hard to put down. It is full of romance, laughter, heat and even some drama. If you are looking for a new series to start then this is the book I would recommend for you. You will not be disappointed at all. I cannot wait to see who the next book belongs too .Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Dane Madden. DANE MADDEN. That seriously could be my whole review, and not because I stayed up until 3:30am to finish this in one sitting. Adriana Locke does it again, and by it, I mean wrote an amazing romance story that had me smiling like a fool by the end. First of all, I'm a sucker for a single dad romance. Second, there is a strong and independent female lead. Third, there is an amazing friend group that I'm dying to know more about. Okay, let's start with Dane. He is always trying to do the right thing, but tends to mess it up somehow--let's just say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. His relationship with his daughter is the freakin' cutest thing ever. Plus, he just has this whole hot-caring-man-ness about him throughout the book that I just love.  Then there is Neely, who has every right to be completely pissed and heartbroken about what happened so long ago. She is strong and chasing a dream despite the heartbreak, and I just admire her for that. Her journey throughout this story is just so relatable for women "doing it all." Lastly, while I'm loving all of the friends, Penn is the silly playboy with a heart of gold that I can't wait to see fall hard. His book, I'm HERE FOR IT!  Long story short, READ THIS BOOK! Special thank you to Montlake Romance and NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I’ll be honest, I was a little hesitant to read this book. I love second chance romances, but Dean was also a single dad and either authors can do those amazingly or they are cringeworthy. I am happy to report that Adriana Locke nailed it perfectly! I loved the chemistry and history between Dean and Neely. The nostalgic feeling of coming back home after so many years was conveyed perfectly. I felt the same feelings as Neely - how it feels familiar and yet different at the same time. To me Neely was such a great character; she was kind and smart and so forgiving. I also really liked Dean - I loved his outlook on life and try to be as real as possible to protect his daughter. There were moments in the book between Dean and his daughter that had me laughing out loud, but also moments that had me fighting back tears. I loved the secondary characters and I hope that there are stories in the works for these characters! Penn, Matt, Claire, Hailey even Grace were all amazing secondary characters that fit into the story perfectly. If you’re looking for a great romance that offers an amazing second chance to characters that deserve to be together, then this is the book for you! **ARC provided by NetGalley and the Publisher. Tumble is my first Adriana Locke story and it won't be the last. Very solid story with great character development and a second-chance romance plot. Certainly not new but well done. I adored the interactions between Neely and Mia. Definitely looking forward to reading more of this series!

This is my first book by Adriana Locke and it definitely won't be my last! This is book 1 in the Dogwood Lane series. Neely Kimber has come home after being passed over for a promotion and quitting her job in NY. She only plans to stay and visit her mom until she finds another job in NY. She never plans on running into the man who nearly broke her years ago. Dane Madden never left Dogwood Lane, he stayed where he loved it and is raising his daughter on his own with help from his family. He never expects to see the woman he always loved, the one he hurt more than he ever wanted to. But the moment he see's her, he knows he has never gotten over her. But he has a lot to try to make up for, and he has to hope that she will stay instead of going back to NY. I absolutely loved this book! What Dane did to Neely was absolutely horrible. And I honestly don't think I would be the person to be able to get over it the way she does. She is a much better woman that I am! But their relationship is absolutely beautiful to watch unfold. And the fact that she falls for his daughter as well is awe inspiring! Not many women have as much heart and goodness in them as this character does! Dane knew what he did was wrong and he finds ways to not only try to explain but to apologize and make her at least understand. You couldn't help but fall in love with him as well! The side characters are absolutely awesome and cracked me up all the time! For the first book in a series, this one was great and left me hanging for more! A great way to start a series!

With Tumble (Dogwood Lane #1) Adriana Locke has cemented herself as one of my TOP FAVE authors in small-town romance! This is the EPIC second-chance love story of Neely Kimber and Dane Madden, chock full of alllllll the FEELS, ANGST and SWOON I've come to expect from her! Neely returns to Dogwood Lane to visit and re-group after her unfortunate loss of her dream job as a sports journalist goes up in smoke, only to run straight into her ex, Dane. The reasons for their break-up are raw and extremely hard to swallow. Having said that, I applaud Ms. Locke for how she handled the whole situation because it felt COMPLETELY honest and HEART-BREAKINGLY REAL!!! I fell in love with all the main characters in this one, especially the endearing, heart-stealing Mia! All the secondary characters were exceptional, as well. The heat and chemistry between Neely and Dane is addictive and I loved how they worked through and overcame some very difficult circumstances that are very true-to-life! I can't WAIT for more of this series! Bravo Adriana!!!

5 Emotional Stars! Dane broke Neely's heart when she was 18, so she moved to New York to follow her other dream. Dane has regretted his decision to break up with Neely every day. Ten years later when Neely comes home to Dogwood Lane after her quits her job, Dane doesn't know whether to ignore her or try to catch her because he knows that she was never meant to stay in their small town ... but he wanted her to. This book has all the emotions in it ... I laughed, I cried, I swooned and I got mad. I loved that Dane wasn't a ladies man and that he was a devoted dad and responsible man. Neely was city girl on the outside, but on the inside she was a country girl. And Mia, Dane's daughter, just melted my heart. And not only were the main characters great, I really enjoyed the rest of the gang. The way that Dane, his brother Matt and his best friend Penn talked to one another was just the best. I can't wait for Matt and Penn's stories because the way Ms. Locke painted them, you just know they are gonna be great. This is an excellent start to a new series. I received an advanced copy courtesy of Montlake Romance through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

This is the first book in the Dogwood Lane series. Tumble is about a romance and a second chance love story. I truly loved and enjoyed reading about Dane and Neely. I thought Dane's little girl was adorable. The story was well developed and a heartwarming story. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC for an honest review.

Loved this! It's a fantastic small town second chance romance. Returning to her hometown was something Neely had vowed never to do. Yet when her job in NY implodes returning to Dogwood Lane is exactly what she does. Now her worst fear has come to pass. She's face to face with Dane Maddox. No longer the boy who broke her heart and sent her running. He's definitely all man and a single dad. Neely would never be able to trust him again no matter what her crazy libidio is say! This is the first book I've read by this author and now I'm wondering what took me so long to give her books a try. With this book she's definitely gained a new fan. I very much enjoyed her writing style, characters and story pace. I highly recommend this book.

3.7 Stars Grab the Ben and Jerry's, a glass of wine and a box of tissues and settle in for a sweet second chance romance Neely has returned home for a breather while she gets her "life plan" back on track. It's been a decade since she left home. She is no longer that wide-eyed broken-hearted teen and while everything had changed not a whole lot is truly different. That includes her first love, her first heartache her first - everything. When Dane sees his childhood love he also sees a second chance - A chance to right the wrongs of a young man who did all the wrong things at all the right times leaving behind him a wake of damage he might finally get the chance to fix. Dane and Neely were "the" high school couple the whole town believed bound for marriage and babies and a HEA - that was until Dane betrayed Neely. Over a decade has passed but for Neely, the pain is still fresh. Can she find it in her to forgive Danes transgressions? Can she walk away from a life she dreamed of? This was such a fun second chance romance. Lots of laughter and small-town drama blended with just a touch of angst. #Tumble #Netgalley
