About the Author

Casey Peeler grew up in North Carolina and still lives there with her husband and daughter.

Growing up Casey wasn't an avid reader or writer, but after reading Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston during her senior year of high school, and multiple Nicholas Sparks' novels, she found a hidden love and appreciation for reading. That love ignited the passion for writing several years later, and her writing style combines real life scenarios with morals and values teenagers need in their daily lives.

When Casey isn't writing, you can find her near a body of water listening to country music with a cold beverage and a great book.

I have to say I have loved EVERYTHING Casey has written. Let's face it she is the Queen of Young Adult books. Tutu's and Cowboy Boots did not disappoint. Cadence is your typical spoiled little rich girl who thinks that she is better than everyone. Especially when something happens and her and her mom leave the big city to go stay on her grandma's farm. Omg! That's horrible right? It was actually really funny to read about this city girl who can dance like an angel, falling around in muddy boots, scooping up horse poo. She thought she was better than everyone but we soon started to see her true colors. Cadence was shielding herself from hurt. You know the if you don't let anyone close then the pain won't come. Then there is Barrick... a sweet, southern gentleman- well most of the time, at least when he wasn't giving Cadence a hard time. The two are thrown together to work but soon, ,the pranks become flirting and Barrick is there for her when she needs him the most. Is it April yet? Because I need more. I need to know what happens.

I was honored with the gift of receiving an ARC copy of Tutu's and Cowboy Boots! And let me tell you this is an absolute MUST read! Cadence is a city slicker whose life is part of the New York elite. But it's senior year and she's forced to move to Delight, North Carolina when her parents divorce because of her cheating father. She learns through trial and error that the farm life just may be more of her style than she thinks. Barrick is your typical charming southern perfection. Upon meeting cadence he knew he would be in for a trip with this sassy talking girl. He didn't expect to develop more for her and trying to get her to open up. City meets country and like I knew would happen country may just trump out the city life. Casey Peeler is an awesome writer! She sucks you in with her characters and their lives. She makes them relatable and you can't help but fall in love. Her stories are raw and real! You can't put her books down! If you haven't read any of her books your missing out!!!

***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review - Sanne / Scandalous Book Blog*** April be here quickly please! Yes people there is a cliffhanger present. Although it is a mild one. Casey Peeler is my go to author if I want a story I can escape into and know I'll get hooked from start to finish. This is a country love story with a touch of city. Cadence was one of those heroines I could definitely relate with. Her transformation was so touching and heartfelt. Dear old Barrick... A heart of gold and a sexy southern twang. A book with a lot of sassynes, banter and a promise to makes you escape from life for a while.
