Overview

On November 17, 1835 the people of Cincinnati, Ohio raised the funds to aid the Texas Revolution, and the foundry of Greenwood and Webb manufactured two six-pounder cannons known as the Twin Sisters. They are credited with having won the Revolution against Mexico in the battle of San Jacinto. There are various stories as to the fate of the cannons at the end of the war.

Is it true that the Twin Sisters cannons were found buried on a ranch in Uvalde, Texas in 2011 or is there a more devious explanation?

This book was informative and interesting. I learned a lot about Texas history. I had never heard of the Twin Sisters and their role in the Texas Revolution. The story moves along at a fast pace and is hard to put down.

I found Twin Sisters to be a fun read; a page turner. The historical facts are interesting, especially the Texas Revolution history as it is
mixed with current news from Mexico dealing with the drug cartels and the work of the Texas Border Patrol. The fact that it is located
in Uvalde adds to the fun. The action transports the reader to several Texas cities with detailed descriptions of local people and places.
I recommend the book to all Texans. It is an interesting and fun read
