When she ran away, she traveled fourteen countries across five continents, attended three universities, and married the vocalist of her favorite rock band.

Warning, grab the tissues, this is an emotional and turbulent read. It will touch on all the feels, and it ends with a completely unexpected, but should've seen it coming, gasp. This is a triangle, and like all triangles, it is complicated, it is messy, and it is emotional. Impulsive Danni feels so much, and that is her draw and her downfall. She drives the story, she drives the men, and she, eventually, drives her future. Everyone tries to be so thoughtful, and compassionate, but the feelings they have for each other, they boil over and take control. The aftermath of these events shape the future. In the end, the past is what shapes the story for Danni, Trace, and Cole. It becomes so apparent, Danni is in control, but Cole and Trace need to get their acts together to figure this out It starts where the previous cliffhanger left off, and it ends, unexpectedly so, on a cliffhanger. Now, the wait to see how the heck this is all going to work itself out!

While I did enjoy the first book of this series, I did not like this one. It was too unbelievable! The thought of 2 gorgeous, sexy, confident, and intelligent men wating patiently while a girl bounces back and forth between the 2 of them was just too much to swallow. And I thought Danni was an immature, selfish, sorry excuse for a woman. She was slutty, loud mouthed and obviously trashy the way she went back and forth. I hated the storyline in this book, it was too fake. No man would be fool enough to allow a woman to do that. And the raunchy sex scenes got old too fast. No i do not recommend. Nor am i interested in reading the next book. Gtx

Don't buy this book. Story line could have been finished in two books. Author stretched it to three books for nothing except the sake of "selling a trilogy." If you read books one and three, then you would get the entire story. Book two is nothing but angst and sexual tension that did nothing for the story except drag it out. Make a choice already.

This was interesting enough to keep me reading but it felt repetitive at some point. I obviously haven't read book 3 but I'm wondering if 3 books were necessary to tell this story... Onto book 3

How to begin, well again I'm just kind of speechless. My head is swimming and my hearts beating so fast, but I'm in pieces, will my head catch up with my heart or will it be the other way around. I don't envy Danni, but I'm right there with her, I lived all the decisions with her, the choices, the love the deceptions and lies and like Danni I'm love with two men. I'm as torn now as at the start, I'm just not sure I can choose. Make sure you meet Danni, Cole and Trace in book one to fully understand how much your heart can be torn, love triangles have never been so good or heartbreaking. I'm awaiting the conclusion of this stunning series hoping I can cope with the anticipation of thrill.

This book had me second guessing what man I think Dani should end up with every freaking chapter. One chapter I am oh it is so Cole and the next I'm Trace all the way. I'm almost to the point that I think she should keep both men and they can learn to deal with sharing. lol I am so excited to see who she finally chooses in the 3rd book. This is the second book for the Tangled Lies series. You must read all the books in order to get the full belly dancing Monty.

Proceed with caution if you haven’t read the first book yet! Oh, naïve, naïve, Danni – and god … my head hurts. My heart is torn to shreds. Pam Godwin, evil writing genius that she is, got me once again with her extraordinary talent to weave a compelling and unpredictable tale. Perfection. Everything you could ever want in a book – plus things you didn’t even know you wanted. That ending … I don’t even know where to start. I just know while reading the last pages I was holding my breath, anxiously waiting for the other shoe to drop. And, boy, did it ever! Now I’m left terrified what their future will bring in the last book of this unique addictive trilogy. Will there even be a choice for Danni to make anymore? I seriously do not want to be in Danni’s shoes. As exciting as it might sound to have two gorgeous hunks of men waiting on you hand and feet, I wouldn’t want to choose between these two. Nope. Just … no. Not after the first book and not even now after all the revelations in this second installment. Cool and calculated blond-haired Trace or impulsive brown-haired Cole…? An impossible choice! Throughout most of the book I thought I felt a tendency, just by the way it was told and what was happening, but once again, I was blindsided and felt like a fool in the end. A unique devastating and detrimental yet incredibly delicious love triangle – and while I am usually not a fan of this kind of romance, I doubt there are (m)any like this out there. Whoa. Boiling jealousy. So much angst. And even more secrets and lies. And, above all, it’s undeniably sexy. Deeply emotional and raw. I also loved the playlist of this book – so, so much. Or those little pics at the beginning of each chapter – just beautiful. What I didn’t love was that horrible cliffhanger. I think it’s even worse than the one in the first book – and that’s saying something! My mind is going in circles trying to figure out how this story will continue – but I come up empty. Seriously, I don’t even know… I’ll be waiting for book three to release with bated breath!

I have just spent the last couple of hours feeling nauseous, sweating with a pounding heart and I don't think it had anything to do with the carbonara I had for my lunch. Damn you Pam Godwin, you made me feel all anxious and now I don't know what to do with myself. Don't read this book if you didn't read One Is A Promise - you need to read that first so you can be as totally and utterly tormented as me. I want to kick something hard. And swear! I need gin but it's too early. Or porn, porn would help but the kids haven't even had dinner yet. Damn and damn again. I, grrrrrrrrr, sigh! Pffffffffff. Cole, I am team Cole. I always go for the brunette. Never blonde. Then gahhhhhhh. I'm broken. Trace is fine in a brooding Scandinavian sort of way but I was decided. Cole won me over. Keep your sex in hot air balloons mister Savoy. I'll take scuba sex with Mr Hartman instead. Only then. Then, then all hell lets loose. Don't even try talk to me I'm proper sulking. By the way, it is a really, really, really good book, just don't have dodgy carbonara for lunch and you'll be fine.

Two is a Lie is the second book in the Tangled Lies trilogy, and Pam Godwin mic drops the hell out this turbulent story. I thought the love triangle was fairly easy to handle in the first book, but apparently that was just foreplay. Two is a Lie is like Kryptonite to angst junkies, and only three things got me through this book: ranting on social media, lots of red wine, and a bottle of Tums. True story. Trace and Cole are extremely different, yet Danni’s love for them is equally fierce. Being engaged to two men is impossible, but neither man is willing to give her up. This puts Danni in the awkward position of being like the newest Bachelorette trying to decide which man, if either, she wants to give the final rose. Tensions rise as Trace and Cole fight hard and dirty for her heart. These powerful men are used to being in total control, but they make themselves completely vulnerable, laying all their feelings on the line knowing they will be destroyed if they lose her. It’s utterly gut wrenching. Danni is torn and while I sympathized with her, I also wanted to slap her more than once. It was Trace and Cole for whom my heart ached the most. Having said that, go #TeamTrace. I was delighted to see the beautiful silhouette illustrations that once again preface each chapter. Expect deception, lies, jealousy, and plot twists to feature prominently in the plot. This tumultuous, sultry story is positively riveting and will keep you up all night with heart pounding suspense. The last few chapters in particular will knock the wind out of you. I need the final book NOW!

I seriously am at a loss for words My heart is getting pulled in two directions and my head is on a see-saw.Which way is up or down. !! I can so feel Danii, cause she's as conflicted as me . The choice was always between Cole and Trace Savoy. What a choice. Choosing between Fire and Ice. Cole is a passionate hurricane , uncontrollable and sweeping her by the sheer force of his delectable kisses. I don’t mean to stare, but that predatory swagger, those low-rise jeans, the hard flex of his backside… Sweet sassy molassy, I can’t peel my eyes away. Trace is Ice which carried it's own stoic fire within. Always in control. He takes control , Always the leader The clothes and the surroundings don’t make the man. He sets the ambiance and commands the space, no matter what he’s wearing or where he’s at, as if his aura defines the very air that touches him. It’s his nature to be in charge of everything, to be aware of everything going on around him. And around me. If he had it his way , he’d control the air I breathe, the water on my skin, and the beat of my heart. Both love her deeply and she loves both...equally Cole ~“I’m not going anywhere . Never again.” Trace ~ “I’m not leaving your side, Danii" Who do I choose ?..... I mean Danii !!! who does Danii choose? Pam has woven a tangled web of Love, Lies, Passion, deception so intricately, the more you try to figure out, the more you'll get lost. So read along, enjoy the story , The hot sex, the fantastic writing, agonising emotions, word-play, camouflaged intentions and complexities of characters. They’re manipulators, liars, criminals, and I fell in love with them. It's unforgettable, unputdownable book. I cannot wait for the next book now !! 5 Tug-Of-war stars

Danni has a problem. She's got two men and she's engaged to both. Both men are hot, hot, hot and both men want her. So she decides she's going to date them in order to figure out who she's going to pick. Only problem -- the solution might just wear all three of them down. Most of the book is Danni struggling with her decision, and Cole and Trace waiting her out while she dates them both. These are two guys that aren't about to share, although they do have some mysterious past connection that frankly bugged me throughout this entire book. I just had the feeling there was a whole lot more to the Trace/Cole connection and I wanted to know what Danni didn't know but needed to. While the book was a bit repetitious with the push and pull between Danni and her men, and I wanted to shake the three of them until they at least thought they might be able to share. I loved when Danni's frustration level maxed out regarding their sins of omission. Now, I can't tell you what happens, but I will say that I loved how this book ended! There's a nice little twist that validated some of my theories about Cole and Trace and just what they are into with their unknown employer. This has been a terrific series so far. I know some readers don't like "triangle" story lines, but this one has got me wondering how in the world this is all going to resolve. There's a mystery here, and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes in the conclusion of the series. Overall, this is the type of writing and story telling I've come to expect from Pam Godwin -- a tightly woven tale of lies and love that will keep me guessing until the end. While I had a few minor issues with Two is a Lie, I'm loving this series hard and can't wait to see how this all works out in the end.
