Overview

A Country Boy

Maybe having a hot and heavy affair with the boss’s daughter wasn’t the smartest move. But country boy Ty Morgan didn’t regret a moment with city girl Monica Brandt…until she left Las Vegas to return to her life in New York. When devastating news sends her running back, Ty can’t help but open his arms. His heart, however, is another matter.

And A City Girl

Now that Ty has what he’s always wanted—controlling interest in Hotel Rodeo—Monica is certain their time together is at an end. Then Ty asks her to come on board as a partner. Maybe it’s just her money he needs, but the chance to stick close to the sexy wrangler sure could make work a whole lot more interesting.

Get Ready To Tango

Their partnership doesn’t come without a heap of problems. The two can’t agree on anything—except their iron-hot attraction. As the hotel’s Grand Opening approaches, the truth is all too clear: Ty and Monica must find a way to mix business with pleasure if they have any shot at dancing off into the sunset together…

Picking up after the death of Tom, Ty’s partner and friend and Monica’s father, we finally see some hope for this couple in part two of their story. We also see more from the man left behind in New York when Monica fled to Vegas after her father’s stroke, Evan. Here the two, possibly bound together by the shared grief at Tom’s loss actually expend energy and time getting to know one another. Gone, for the most part, are the rush to judgement moments of the earlier story, and Tom’s bequests are directly responsible for most of the action. With his new controlling interest in the hotel, Ty believes that he has everything he wanted: since he and Monica still have (and act on) that amazing chemistry. But all is not simple: with Evan being a constant presence as he works to convince Monica to come back and fit into his own carefully proscribed life, she’s struggling with her own realizations: the first of which is that life without Evan is quite interesting. And, a life with Ty just might be intriguing. A touch of manipulation on the part of both Ty and Evan throws yet another relationship into the mix, as the exes (Delaney and Evan) are thrown together. Perfectly matched, the two are manipulative with their former partners, but these two seem to fit together well in their continued attempts to sway decisions for their own benefit. Finally Ty opens up to Monica and shares his dreams and his heart, and while she vacillated far too often for my taste (he did exhibit a TON of trust and vulnerability) she finally reins in her rampant insecurities and questions and makes the right and logical move. While their story does end (a bit too neatly and abruptly for the time invested to this point) there is hope for more as Delaney moves on from her ex-husband Ty, and sets her sights on his best friend. An interesting and mostly satisfying wrap up to the story that began with Hell on Heels, I can only think that the bits that I still question (mostly their adjustments to a life together) will be shred in the next book. I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Two to Wrangle by Victoria Vane is the second book in the Hotel Rodeo series. Things are getting more serious on many levels within this book, which means Ty and Monica will be fighting and making up and fighting some more. Monica wants to give up and fly off to New York and give up way too easily. With as much of a hard baller she is in business, I expected her to have more of a backbone in her personal life. Ty is. .well, he's Ty. He tries to stick to his original, no commitments, no obligations plan, but can he really keep it up? He already started breaking his rules in the first book. Two to Wrangle (Hotel Rodeo #2) by Victoria Vane was kindly provided to me by the publisher through NetGalley for review. The opinions are my own.

Favorite Quotes: “I was the kind of stillness borne of a calm heart and a peaceful mind.” “We’ve been playing with gun powder from the get-go. But there’s something you need to understand about gunpowder, Monica. Although it’s highly combustible, it’s also what makes fireworks. So only two things can happen here – we’re either gonna blow like a stick of dynamite or we’re gonna make some major @#ing pyrotechnics. Don’t know ‘bout you, but I’m banking on the fireworks.” My Review: I am warming up to Monica since book 1, but I am still suffering whiplash with her back and forth. This installment was busy and erotically steamy with the romance finally blooming, communication improving, tragedy striking, heads turning, surprises popping, and sparks flying.

This is the second novella in the Hotel Rodeo series and it picks up where the first left off. I didn't like this portion of Monica and Ty's story as well as the first but it was still enjoyable. There are several surprises to add to the tension between Monica and Ty but they also created some issues that weren't resolved. ARC received from Lyrical Press in exchange for an honest review.

A continuation of Hell on Heels, Two to Wrangle jumps in where Hell on Heels ended. I enjoyed this story a lot more than the first one in the series. There are surprising twists throughout. Now that these two are forced to come to some sort of compromise in order to run the family business the relationship between Monica and Ty becomes nuclear. Two to Wrangle is a battle of the sexes all the way to the finish. Will these two learn to work together? Only one way to find out. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Two to wrangle is thrilling, passionate read in order to fully enjoy Hell on Heels should be read first.

The fun continues in the second installment of the Hotel Rodeo Series, and it doesn’t get much sweeter. Two to Wrangle begins where Hell on Heels ended, with Ty Morgan and Monica Brandt trying to pick up the pieces after tragedy leaves them emotionally strangled in its wake. Amidst the sadness, can two very different souls find peace in one another? As a reader, I was beyond excited to see if it was possible! The chemistry between Ty and Monica has been sexy and explosive since the beginning. As Monica comes to terms with her loss, she realizes just how much is at stake. Upon finding that the terms regarding her ownership of Hotel Rodeo have changed, she finds herself on a cliff facing the unknown. Unwilling to jump and take a risk, we see her questioning herself, and the truth behind Ty’s actions more often than not. Can she trust Ty? What about Evan who clearly wants her back? Furthermore, what is the motivation behind Evan’s blatantly mischievous business savvy? Will there more trouble in the future if Monica stays involved? The twists keep on coming, yes they do! Once Ty and Monica realize belatedly that they either need to partner up, or jump ship, we really have no clue where the story is going. Ty needs financial stability, but Monica is fearful of defeat, deception, and heartbreak. She is confused, and it drove me crazy at times. I found myself mentally berating Monica, knowing that if I could meet her, I’d tell her to trust her heart. So naturally, watching her grow throughout the book and finally risk love was a whirlwind of frustration followed by giddy delight. Then, there is Delaney. All I can say is, “Wow,” because she is one intriguing, unique character. She also wants a piece of Ty, and she has no qualms about the unusual deal she presents him with. Perhaps even more exciting is the knowledge that Delaney and Zac (Ty’s best friend) are the focus of the upcoming third installment. I am definitely going to be reading that next! Ultimately though, I just cannot get over what Delaney is currently after! Her addition to the bits and pieces of potential milestones in which Ty and Monica have to overcome couldn’t have worked out better. My favorite aspect of this book though was Ty’s character development. While I truly enjoyed watching Monica come into her own, and take control, I loved Ty’s ability to leave everything on the table. Despite his misgivings involving commitment and love, he never gave up and he never sacrificed any part of himself in the process. The author gave us a strong female lead and an impossibly perfect hero in Ty to love, providing us as readers with a wonderful book to immerse ourselves in. Seeing how the story unfolds, experiencing Ty’s final play to win Monica as a partner in more ways than one gave me one hell of a happy ending to enjoy. I loved seeing Monica stand up for herself. I loved seeing Evan being taken down a notch. I loved learning a bit more about Zac and Delaney. I loved learning about the potential for Hotel Rodeo and how our couple will make it a success. I loved the tender moments, the heated ones full of sexual ecstasy, and the ones full of sharp tongues with innuendo. More importantly, I loved both Monica and Ty. Even better, I cannot wait to see how their partnership will feed into the future novels, the other characters, and the ultimate fate of Hotel Rodeo!

This is the second part of Ty and Monica's story that started in Hell On Heels and picks up right where that book left off. Monica is back in Vegas for her father's memorial service and to tie up the loose ends of his estate. To the surprise of both Monica and Ty, Tom (Monica's father) has left his ranch and 75% ownership in the hotel to Ty with everything else including 25% ownership of the hotel going to Monica. This forces them to find a way to work together but it won't be easy!! I really enjoyed this one and I'm looking forward to the next which will deal with Ty's ex wife. The story is super sexy and Ty and Monica can't fight the attraction they have for each other. They are both great characters and it was fun to read their story. It's very well written and moves along at a great pace. I definitely recommend it.

Monica returns from New York with her dreaded fiancé in tow, which does nothing to improve Ty’s foul mood. He doesn’t really want to admit it, but he does miss Monica. And because of unforeseen circumstances, they have no choice but work more closely than before. There is only topic on which Ty and Monica seem to agree, and it’s certainly not regarding business. Ty is looking for investors to make some renovations, and the offer he gets leaves him nonplussed. TWO TO WRANGLE is book two in the Hotel Rodeo series, and I enjoyed it much more than book one; Ty and Monica are still at it like rabbits, but there were bull riding passages that were very exciting and hints at what’s to come that bode very well, at least for Book 3. I’m very happy that Ty’s ex-wife Delaney will be featured in the next instalment, because she’s something else! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Monica Brandt was leaving Vegas behind when Ty Morgan called to say her father had just suffered another stroke and she should hurry to his side. Upon arrival she finds her father has died and realizes that everything he owns will need to be dealt with. Ty is still hoping that there might be a future for the two of them but Evan, her ex-fiancé, is also hopeful she will choose him and return to New York. This part of their story takes them to Tom’s ranch in Oklahoma after the funeral and there they find out that changes have been made in his will that impact both of them. Ty’s ex-wife, Delaney makes an appearance and suggests a way to finance Ty’s dreams for Hotel Rodeo. With one week to get Monica on his side regarding the hotel there is a lot of wooing and communicating to be done. Included in the story: wooing, communicating, a rodeo, potential for miscommunication and a bit of a resolution. The setup is made for book three that will have Zac, a bull rider, and Delaney starring. Other characters that may star in books four and beyond are also introduced. Thank you to NetGalley and Lyrical Shine for the copy of this book to read and review.
