From the first chapter, this book had me hooked! From the heartbreaking beginning to the suspenseful adventure, nowhere did the story lag or become slow. Asia lost 3 hours of her life before everything came crashing down around her. Three years later, she is still trying to piece that time frame together so she can get on with her life. Ethan is her psychologist and he helps her in a way no one else has. Their relationship goes from Dr/Patient to lovers after he is finished treating her. WOWZA! Talk aobut steamy and intense! I love these two together! The story is full of suspense and intrigue in a sci-fi world…..HELLO, aliens! The author is so good at telling the story that I never once doubted that the world she created was anything but real! We’ve all read that book where we question what is going on and are full of disbelief? Well, that doesn’t happen here! I can’t express enough how much I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the rest of this series! *I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In just a few pages I became totally engrossed in the characters Donna Frelick portrays so eloquently, and could hardly put the book down. Heroine Asia suffers through mystery shrouded drama and finds a soul mate in Ethan while trying to find out what happened to her. They have little time to explore their budding romance before they are swept up in breathtaking adventures, fighting unknown assailants whom they try to escape through the Appalachians. I could really relate to the places and people Asia and Ethan encounter during their journey thanks to the writer's vivid depictions. This book clearly elevates the bar for the genre of science fiction romance, and I hope many other readers enjoy the book as much as I did. can't wait for the next book in the Interstellar Rescue Series.
