"Darkly sensual, rich with emotion, a wild unsettling ride."—Christine Feehan, New York Times bestselling author

He's the man of her dreams
A long time ago, Zander Lorens was cursed to walk the earth stripped of his Dragon Clan powers. Every night, trapped in a recurring nightmare, Zander relives his darkest moment. He can hardly believe it when the dream changes and a beautiful young woman appears. Zander believes she's the key to ending his torment. Finding her in the real world is one thing, but how will he convince her of who-and what-she really is?

She's the end to his nightmare
Rena McHale uses her unique sensitivity as a private investigator, touting herself as a "human divining rod" and finder of the lost. By day she struggles with sensory overload, and by night her sleep is haunted by a fiery dragon shifter. Nothing in her life makes sense, until the man from her dreams shows up at her door with a proposition...

This book is all about dragons...or so you would think. We actually don't get to see much of their dragon form, except by the end of the book. And for me, that OK. That didn't bother me at all. The plot was well written and I found the dialogue between the two main characters quite refreshing. Also, the concept of the story is quite interesting, since a dragon can only have one mate. But as it happens, what if you have two twin brothers and only one possible mate. Yeah, that's not a good outcome. As if that wasn't enough trouble, add to that a slimy, backstabbing fox lady from the Middle Ages and you have two dragons wreaking havoc right and left. That is until both get cursed for five hundread years and to my utmost satisfaction the fox lady gets toasted. Literally, she gets turned into a nice pile of dust... Anyway... Now it's up to Zander and Rena to clean up the mess. And their road is a rough one. For once you don't get the insta love but you do get some highly explosive sexual tension between them. There aren't that many sex scenes but for this story just the right amount. Given the guilt Zander carries for his past deeds, the love story takes awhile to fully develop. There's quite some push-pull play but not too much. To me it was like reading an old couple bickering and then making up. So, all in all quite enjoyable. Also the paranormal part was great and you got the enswers that you needed to understand the new world. Simply a great first read from this author.

I have read several books by Sara Humphreys and I love her paranormal interpretations, especially when it comes to vampires and shapeshifters. In Undiscovered, she continues her intriguing interpretations of shapeshifters that she calls Amoveo as well as an introduction to a rare species of Dragon shapeshifters. Zander Lorens has lived in utter agony for the past 500 years because of a curse that made him immortal yet unable to use his Dragon powers. Plus, his twin brother has been stuck in hibernation for 500 years. They both have been cursed to re-live a tragic event every night of their existence. A chance encounter with a woman named Rena McHale during one of these dreams leads Zander on a path to end the curse and free both himself and his brother, Zed. Unbeknownst to Rena, she is part Amoveo and has some amazing abilities yet to be discovered although she does use one gift as a private investigator. She can locate anyone just by touching something that belongs to them. When Zander locates Rena in Las Vegas, he opens her up to an entire new world and also opens up her heart. Unfortunately, Zander is convinced that Rena is meant to be his brother Zed’s mate so he denies the strong attraction that he has to her. Rena, on the other hand, has other plans and insists that fate can’t determine who she falls in love with. It was interesting to watch Rena find out what she really is after living her life as an orphan and believing that she was some sort of freak. However, it was painful to see how Zander has been literally tortured for centuries and has taken the blame for everything that happened to him and his brother. I will also have to say that parts of the book were a little too predictable. I wish that Sara had thrown in a plot twist or two but I still enjoyed the book. Rena and Zander were good for each other. **Received a copy from the publisher and reviewed the book voluntarily.**

The intense opening to this fast-paced paranormal shifter romance by author Sara Humphreys kept me reading this book in one sitting. I loved the Amoveo. I have read other books by this author before I started writing book reviews so I am familiar with many of the Amoveo people in this story and I loved, loved all those books. This book did not disappoint me. It was amazing to read and purely entertaining. Rena kind of broke my heart. She was so broken in many ways while being very strong and dedicated to her profession and longtime friend and mentor Vito. I liked the way the author built her character up throughout the book showing that even though she was broken that she was a survivor and strong. Zander's history is bleak and sad but also like Rena he was broken though one couldn't see it. I felt the author's explanation and presentation of his curse was done to perfection and created the additional intrigue necessary to keep this story moving quickly. This book will bring out a lot of emotions and the reader will not be bored at any time throughout the book. The dream sequences are dramatic, memorable and well plotted. I do like the fact that at no time did I or could I guess the ending. In fact, the ending did take me by surprise to some extent creating a desire for me to read the next book to this series. I give this 5 STARS for not being predictable. Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

3.5* Zander Loren has roamed the earth for five hundred years. Cursed to a human and immortal form while his twin brother Zed is condemned to his dragon in hibernation. Rena McHale has never known a family of her own. Abandoned at birth, tossed from foster home to foster home because of her knowing things she shouldn't, she lived on the streets of Vegas from 14 years old on. Zander and Rena are drawn together in the dream land. Zander see her as the cure to the cures and Rena sees him as the source of her nightmare. Together they set out on a journey mysterys and forbidden feelings. I enjoyed this book but I do think to get the full enjoyment of it you need to of read the series that this is a spinoff of, which I have not. I am looking forward to reading Zed's book. *Book Obsessed Chicks Review team

Undiscovered 'Undiscovered' by Sara Humphreys is book One in the "Amoveo Rising" series. This is the story of Zander and Rena. Zander and his brother were cursed and that time is almost over that they can break the curse. Zander lost his Dragon Clan powers and is left in human form where his twin brother is left in dragon form and never complicates. But during on of Zander's dreams he sees Rena and his brother speaks one word to her "Mine'. This has caused Zander to think that Rena can possible break the curse. Rena is a Private Detector raised in and out of homes as a child. But finally taken in by a elder man who taught her to be a PI. When Zander walks into her office asking her to help find his brother, Rena is shocked. This was the man who had entered into her dreams and help save her during her dream state. Rena knows there is something more going on her but she agrees to go forward and help him. This was an exciting read...loved the story and can't wait for the next book in this series!*A Book Obsessed Chicks Review Team

UNDISCOVERED is the first installment in Sara Humphreys’ contemporary AMOVEO RISING paranormal romance series-a spin of from her AMOVEO LEGEND series. This is dragon shifter Zander Lorens, and private investigator Rena McHale’s story line. You do not have to have read the previous series to understand the story line premise. Any important information is revealed where necessary. SOME BACKGROUND: The Amoveo are an ancient race of telepathic, dream walking shape shifters who hide their identity behind a human façade. If a male Amoveo has not found his mate by the time he has turned thirty, he will begin to lose his ‘animal other’ and live out the rest of his life as human; if an Amoveo loses his or her mate, they will slowly lose the ability to shift and die a lonely death. The Amoveo’s continued war with the Purists finds the Amoveo and the newly discovered ‘hybrids’ seeking refuge at the Royal compound where shifters and their mates are protected from the outside world. Not all shape-shifters are considered Amoveo, some are ancient cousins thought to no longer exist. Told from dual third person perspectives (Zander and Rena) using present day, dream walking and memories from the past, UNDISCOVERED is the story of family, brotherhood, betrayal and love. For close to 500 years Zander Lorens and his twin brother Zed have been living a nightmare. Cursed to walk the earth without the ability to shift Zander struggles with the reality that his twin is caught between life and death. Hoping to release his brother from a prison not of his making Zander approaches the woman who has starred in his dreams-the dreams he believes will answer his brother’s cries. What ensues is the building relationship between Zander and Rena, and Rena’s struggle to convince Zander that she is his mate. Rena is somewhat of an anomaly in the human world. With the ability to ‘see’ the past through touch our heroine uses her abilities to as a private investigator. Orphaned at an early age Rena never found the love of a family until a ‘grifter’ from the street taught Rena how to survive. Zander and his brother Zed are the last of their kind but a 500 year old curse threatens to keep the brothers apart for all of eternity and Zander hopes that Rena McHale is the key to solving their problem. The relationship between Zander and Rena begins as a business arrangement. Zander believes Rena is his brother’s mate, and her presence will bring back the brother with whom he battles in their nightly dreams. There is plenty of sexual tension and frustration, back and forth as Zander struggles with his attraction to the woman he believes is his brother’s mate. The $ex scenes are intimate but limited. For fans and readers of Sara’s THE AMOVEO LEGEND series you will be happy to know that several characters cross over for familiarity and cohesion including Dante and Kerry, Prince Dominic and his mate Tatiana, William and Layla. UNDISCOVERED is a story of heartbreak and loss; one family’s struggle to move forward from the past, and one brother’s mistaken belief that he is to blame for his brother’s trauma. The premise is imaginative and intriguing; the characters are colorful, confident and intelligent; the romance is passionate but struggles with our hero’s inability to see the truth. UNDISCOVERED is an engaging tale of destined mates.

I knew Undiscovered was the book for me when one of my favorite authors included one of my favorite paranormal shifter themes (dragons!) into an already amazing Amoveo series. The overall story is great, characters complex, and the added mystery, intrigue, and sexy romance is second to none. Undiscovered is a story about finding ones true self, redemption, family, and love, and one which I could not put down. I recommend this book for all lovers of PNR and just plain great books!

This was a very engaging book. I have loved all of Sarah Humphreys books that I have read and this book did not disappoint. Zander Lorens is cursed. He is cursed to live 500 years never being able to become his dragon once again. But yet his twin brothers curse is so much worse than Zander's. Zed is cursed to live as his dragon in the dreamrelm for 500 years. However, what happens when the 500 years is up and they never find each other’s mates? So, when Zander dreams with the girl he believes is Zed's mate he will do anything to bring her back to her brother and life the curse. Even if it means Zander will lose the one person who has made him feel in 500 years. Even if it means he will die at the hands of his brother over the wicked fox of their past. Rena McHale has been on her own for the entirety of her life, after living in 12 foster homes then running away she finally found her very own "family" in the form of Vito. The man who gave her a chance and taught her how to embrace her gift of finding people and turning it into a job. So, when a handsome man comes to her business and offers 30,000 to find his brother who is she to say no. Of course, it helps that he is gorgeous......and can give her answers about the "gift" that has made her a freak among all the people who have ever known about it. This was a great book, it reminded me of the Dark series by Christine Feehan. However, this series made me feel so much more than her books have accomplished in a long time. I must say that there were so many times when I was trying hard not to want to yell at Zander to show him the truth. And there were other times where I wanted Rena was talking about her past that I was dying inside because I never like it when young children suffer at the hands of society. But over all this book made me excited. It had so much drama, love, excitement, and a desire for a HEA that it managed to hit all the points I have ever made about what makes a good romance book. Add the fact that this book is a paranormal romance and this book just became so much more. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance, or who enjoys Ms. Humphreys writing style. And if you haven't tried her yet then this is the book that you should try because it will convert you to all books Humphrey and you will never want to stop reading her amazing stories. ~ A Book Obsessed Chicks Review Team Selection (less)

UNDISCOVERED is incredible! I loved every page of it and couldn’t put it down! The Amoveo are shapeshifters from ten different animal clans. Vampires were introduced into the original Amoveo Legend world in earlier books and their storyline was the first to spin-off into a new series appropriately entitled, Dead in the City. UNDISCOVERED is the first book in a bridge series across the Amoveo universe introducing us to dragons! Can I just say, I absolutely LOVE the expansion with the inclusion of dragons!!! What else does Ms. Humphreys have up her sleeves? The book is amazing. The characters are brilliantly written and easily relatable. The heart of UNDISCOVOERED centers around Zander. He’s torn between loyalty to his brother and claiming his fated mate. Zander’s finding it difficult to juggle all these conflicting emotions, I deeply empathized with him. He’s denied and sacrificed his happiness for five hundred years, all to save his brother and himself from a curse. You’ll not find a more loyal and deserving hero than Zander. Rena is my kind of heroine. She’s fierce and strong, but she’s weird and doesn’t fit in anywhere. She’s been feared, been homeless, been destitute and STILL continues to stand, even when the world knocks her down. Then this sexy-as-sin biker guy waltzes into her private eye office one day and hires her to find his brother, pays the obscene amount of money she’s asking for—in cash—and wants to leave the next day. Rena is skeptical but takes the job anyway. She’s got some freaky magical skills that will protect her in case this Zander guy tries something. But what Rena doesn’t have is the ability to stop fantasizing about the tall, dark and hunky Zander. There could be worse problems… ;) Again, loved it! I can’t say more without giving away spoilers and I don’t want to! I can’t wait for other readers to experience this new twist on an already amazing world. I’m very much looking forward to the next book in the series! I hope there are more dragons! ***ARC provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

New to me author. I have to say I truly enjoyed this book. I love when a book has many characters. We get Dragons, Hybrids, and many other types of paranormal beings. Zander has been cursed along with his twin brother. But things go from complicated to worse quick. Rena has no idea what she is. She was placed in foster care at a young age. So when this big sexy alpha male walks into her PI business she doesn't really believe him at first. Enter a new world and perhaps new family for Rena with one issue. She doesn't want the twin they are trying to rescue she wants Zander. But the feeling isn't returned or is it? We get a really good first in a new series. I hope to read more in this series. And although a stand-alone I think If I read some of the authors previous books I may learn more about the characters in this one.
