About the Author

Charles C. “Charlie” Ledbetter recently retired from a legal and consulting career spanning over forty years. As a national business leader for one of the world’s largest benefits consulting firms during the last fourteen years of his career, Charlie directed a team of consultants advising clients on legal, accounting, compliance, and investing matters relating to 401(k) retirement plans.
As the Trail Boss for the Ledbetter Land & Cattle Company, Charlie is an accomplished public speaker, consultant to businesses, and author/publisher of nonfiction memoirs.
An avid reader and volunteer, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Charlie is a life-long United Methodist and member of Hope United Methodist Church in Greenwood Village, Colorado where he taught senior high Sunday school for thirty-three years, served as church historian, and in 2007 received the Sam Day Award for outstanding volunteer service to his church. He served eleven years on the board of directors for the United Methodist Foundation for the Rocky Mountain Conference, and currently serves as the chair of the Investment Committee for the foundation.
Charlie is married, lives in Denver, Colorado near his two sons, enjoys attending activities of his four grandchildren, and is an avid photographer. He has traveled extensively -- visiting five continents and twenty-six countries worldwide.
