Overview

Unfinished Business by Jenna Bennett

When realtor and recovering Southern Belle Savannah Martin wakes up alone on what is supposed to be her wedding day, she isn't sure what to think. Did her fiancé--bad-boy TBI agent Rafe Collier--decide he couldn't face being shackled to one woman for the rest of his life... or is something more sinister going on?

Savannah's mother Margaret Anne, in Nashville for the nuptials, is certain she knows the truth: her future son-in-law has always been an ill-bred cad, and leaving his pregnant girlfriend practically at the altar clinches it. But the people who know Rafe aren't so sure. Wendell Craig with the TBI and Tamara Grimaldi with the Metro Nashville PD suspect foul play, and set out to prove it.

Shortly, a dead woman turns up in Savannah's house. Rafe's son David goes missing from church camp on the Cumberland Plateau. And a shadowy figure from Rafe's past is stalking them all--a knife-wielding serial killer who likes to hurt women, and who has a score to settle.

Now Savannah must solve the murder, find David, and avoid getting herself killed... or she can kiss her happy ending--and Rafe--goodbye.

Some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed.....unfortunately the cliche' fits Savannah and Rafe's attempted wedding day to a tee. Rafe's a no show but no one knows why. But in true Martin style, the family, including Momma Margaret come toether to hunt for Rafe. Of course things are never simple and the family gets a bigger taste than they'd ever want of what can happen when a criminal seeks revenge. Don't worry....there's a happily ever after but it's very hard won.

I love Savannah and Rafe! I have been un-patiently been waiting for this book to come out. It is the first book I have ever preordered because I cannot get enough of this series. This book was no exception. Cannot wait until another book comes out! I enjoy the character lines of all of the characters, especially Margaret Anne (Savannah's mother), Wendell, and Grimaldi. Hoping for more stories with them all included.

I love this series and I loved, Unfinished Business!!!!! I think I have been with the series since the second book and have looked forward to every one but probably not as much as this one.  Not only was I anxious for the outstanding story that I knew was coming, but I have been waiting to attend their wedding for some time.  I was so happy when Jenna Bennett announced that she had included the wedding scene after some tough thinking. Of course we have all been seeing the blurbs that tell us that Savannah awakens on her wedding day to discover that Rafe is not there.  While she has some worry that he might not be ready for such a big commitment, her main concern is that he might be in danger or worse.  So much happens in the good strong mystery that I didn't see coming!!! It was so great!  Ms Bennett always pulls me in from beginning to end
