Overview

New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands brings the heat in this new Argeneau novel, as one woman is rescued by an irresistible immortal …

“Vampires...”

When Raffaele Notte pulls a barely dressed, disoriented woman from the ocean, the last thing he expects is for her to utter that word. The immortal has come to the island resort to help his cousin, but now, it seems, there are rogue vampires dining on unsuspecting tourists. And he soon realizes that not only is Jess a target, she’s also the life mate he’s been waiting for…

Vampires are real. Jess would’ve never believed it until she saw them with her own eyes. She knows she has to get off the island, and her gallant rescuer has offered to help. There’s something about Raffaele that’s unlike any man she has ever met, and his touch sends pleasure through her that is beyond all imagining. But when Jess discovers who he really is, will she risk life as she knows it for a chance of forever by his side?

You bet and they are called Immortals not soulless vampires you know. Enjoy the series but don't start here. It'll spoil the fun. Go back to the begging and enjoy a laugh along the way. Vampires, I mean really...

I enjoyed this story but we have an intelligent woman with no common sense. Who leaves on her own when she knows someone is stalking her? Apparently, this idiot. Additionally, she should ask a question, not always respond with a knee jerk reacrion. Please go back to kick ass women who use their brain and have a sense of humor. It is time to wrap up the Dressler story. It's been going on three to four years and is frankly, getting boring. A heart felt thanks to returning to more humor than adventure because that is what got me hooked on this series and I have read all of the books.

I loved the characters, the setting and the world building. I loved Jess and Raphael and I felt sorry for Vascues. Iliandra too I was hoping to get more from their stories but I just got enough to wet my appitite for Vascues and for Iliandra since Vascues was also Jess's life mate. I can see different senarios for what's to come. It's a shame that the two immortals couldn't share the same life mate it would have made for an interresting twist. Anyways it was still a very good read and the pirate thing was a hot new twist.

I enjoyed the book but it wasn't really a "cant put it down" kind of book. I didnt really feel the passion in this one.

I spent an equal amount of time reading as I did flipping pages of text without reading them just to get to the end. A woman who keeps making knee jerk decisions, ancient immortals that don't know how to court women, and a side character that simply disappears from the entire story. The characters didn't to grow together let alone convince anyone that love would grow between them. It was okay but left alot of strings floating in the wind.

I am addicted to the series. While not every book in a series will be a favorite, it is still very good and worth the read.

fun, flirty, interesting, hot , but missing something . . . My first thoughts upon get through was fun, flirty, interesting, and hot. Jess was the product of her family life. She was also not very happy in that life. She had to be lure/tricked/dragged on a family outing. The outing from hell. The outing that left her near drowned and in the arms of a stranger(s), Raffaele Notte. Raffaele did not anticipate finding a woman near drowned. He did not anticipate that said woman to be the mate for his life. He did not expect to hear the words coming from her mouth. He now had to figure out a way to get her through or over what she went through. I find the series to be fun and entertaining, but there seems to be a lack in the hilarity that came with the earlier books. There was still fun and funny moments but just not as much as before. The series allow for followers to see how the Argeneau clan and family, friends, and the circle find that one person meant for them. The journey at time fun, funny, intense, action filled, and each of them have a mini drama, while others are continued underlying drama. This was one in the series that I felt something was missing connecting the tour boat actions. No matter the results not being fulling concluded for me, I love the entire Argeneau series. They are building, connecting, and growing. The sense of family and friends make you feel like you too could be a mate to an immortal.
