Deborah Blake brings Baba Yaga to life in modern day America. Many of you may remember the stories, warnings and legends of Baba Yaga if your family came from Europe. This brings those back to life but with a twist and a modern spin. A little bit of mystery, a touch of romance and a big dash of fun!

Veiled Magic is an incredible read Deborah Blake did a really great job creating a world full of magic and supernatural themes that I just fell right in love with! There are so many questions left to be answered and the possibilities seem endless! I’m at the edge of my seat waiting for whatever comes next. Donata is a great character and even though there wasn’t much romance in this book, it didn’t take away from the story. I just wish for more romance in the next book. I’m serious though, this book is awesome and once you start it, you won’t be able to stop! Fingers crossed for more of Donata’s story in the future! *I received a complimentary copy of the book from Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

✦Review: Veiled Magic by Deborah Blake http://wp.me/p3d0RZ-3kC Publication Date: November 17, 2015 Genre: Paranormal Romance Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Donna Rated: 3.5 Stars REVIEW I enjoyed this fast paced quirky story of Donata the witch who finds herself in the middle of a mystery. I liked how the author pulled in the inquisition, giving it a twist that is quite fun and perfect fuel for more books. At times the story became a little convoluted but she managed to reign it in without losing momentum. My complaint would be that it was listed as a romance but it’s more of an ensemble piece with a little tension and a couple kisses. That being said, I had fun reading it. *Review copy provided by Penguin in exchange for an honest review.

The Church annd big Science decided to give witches money for defaming them? This is the author's ridiiculous and minuscule introduction to the recognition of witches in modern society? I laughed, I snorted, I cursed the silly reviewers before me, and I deleted this stinkeroo from my nook.
