Vengeance by Nerys Wheatley

They're coming.

Tens of thousands of eaters are marching towards the city, devouring everyone in their path.

One man controls them: Harvey Boot. He will go to any lengths to perfect the weaponised Meir's virus and become a Survivor. But first he must destroy the only people who can stop him, Alex MacCallum and Micah Clarke.

Alex and Micah have just a few days to prepare their home for the invasion. Together with their friends, they will have to meet the approaching eater army head on.

But Alex has a goal that's more than just surviving the coming battle. Boot took away his future.

Now Alex wants revenge.

** Vengeance is book 3 of the Twenty-Five Percent zombie action horror series. It is NOT a standalone novel. Get Mutation and Downfall first and it will be much more fun, I promise!

About the Author

Nerys Wheatley has an underabundance of excitement in her life and an overabundance of imagination which is constantly making up stuff in her head. She writes fast moving, action packed science fiction because she has to let the stories out somehow. She was born in the UK, which makes her spelling just that bit more thrilling. Her greatest wish is to wake up one day to find the remaining boxes from when she moved house two years ago have magically unpacked themselves. It hasn't happened yet, but she's still hoping.

So much action, horror. I felt my heart racing in anticipation so many times. Great understated humor. Can't wait for the next book by this author

Just about the time I fall in love with the characters the, author gets tired of them. I only hope he brings them back soon, they've become good friends. In the mean time the author has set the bar pretty high, let's hope he delivers.

It's very rare that I buy the sequels to a free book, but I did for these. I loved the witty banter between the protagonists.

I read all three books back to back, could not stop until I read the full story. It was an awesome read, I loved the characters, the action. All three books were entertaining without a dull moment. The author did and awesome job, two thumbs up.

The idea of the story was unique and the characters interesting. Read the series and enjoyed it, but by the third book, it was very repetative. Hard to believe the two leads could have suffered so much damage & recovered so rapidly! I honestly believe the story could have been told better in two books.

I loved all 3 books in this series. It was funny and extremely well written. For those who loved The walking dead and Shawn of the Dead these are for you. I went to work tired but happy. I stayed up late to finish the second and immediately bought the third. I cannot wait to see what Alex and Micah do next. I found myself laughing out loud. Especially over the total guy moments. I read way too much and hardly ever leave a review. The 1st book is free. Try it you'll be hooked too!

This is a 340 pg book, but it could have easily been half that. I ended up skimming quite a bit, glossing over a lot of the scenes in an effort to get to the point. Still, the series as a whole is good and this final (?) book isn't horrible.
