This thesis examines the question of whether prison doctors are obliged or authorised to inform law enforcement authorities of facts they have learned during the course of their work. The main focus is put on Section 114e of the Code of Criminal Procedure (St PO) and its regulatory addressee is determined by interpreting the norm. In conclusion, prison physicians are neither obligated nor authorized to provide information to law enforcement authorities.
