About the Author

D. R. Wells, a native North Carolinian, joined the US Air Force immediately after graduating high school. His first assignment took him to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he met and married the love of his life, Sharon. After ten years in the enlisted ranks, he applied for and was granted a commission in the Air Force Medical Service Corps, retiring as a Major with 23 years of service.

Following that, he spent 16 years working for a multinational medical company before exiting to pursue his dream of bringing to life the stories that have consumed his mind since childhood.

As the father of two daughters and the grandfather of a granddaughter, he is acutely aware of the challenges women face in our society and advocates for equality for all. He lives in the Raleigh area with Sharon and their dog, Willow.
