I got this book for my soon to be niece as part of a baby shower present. I always loved it and my daughter does too. The three little pigs is a classic and I hope it remains as one, as with so many of the other classic golden books.

I remember this book from when I was a little girl--I'm almost 60! I was thrilled to share it with my grandchildren. This Disney version of Three Little Pigs is fun to read and not too scary. Everyone loves singing "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf".

This story about three pigs that set out to built a house. One built a house of straw, one a house of wood, and one built a house of brick. The little pigs built the houses to protect themselves from a wolf. The wolf came along and blew the straw and wood houses away. The brick house withstood the wolf¿s attempts to blow his house down. The moral of the story is anything worth doing is worth doing right.I really enjoyed this story. This story reminded me that the moral presented is always important to remember. ¿The Three Little Pigs¿ reminded me to complete tasks by doing by best.In the classroom, I would have the children act out a skit of this story. I would then discuss with the children principles of having patience, taking adequate time to complete tasks, and the importance of doing their very best.

It is a classic story that everyone knows. One little pig built the house with straw, one built the house with brick, and the other little pig built it with hay so they could be protected from the wolf. But, every time the wolf would come and "blow the house down". It would be good to talk about team work also.

The Three Little Pigs is a classic fairy tale about pigs trying to protect themselves from the big bad wolf. This is a great book for children because the story shows how being lazy can result in a disaster. Also it can be used as a lesson because there are many different versions of the story. It also can be paired with The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka to show different points of views of the characters.
