Angela Knight is a great author. I like her books, and I enjoy her Mageverse series. This is a departure from that series. She takes us to a present day time, with a future "warlord" or engineered and enhanced man. Its an enjoyable read, and it is an interesting story. I liked her Mageverse books better, but this is more sci fi than fantasy. Good book none-the-less.

This book was a bit slow to start but then it picked up and read till it was finished... It was a good read not as exciting as I would have liked... I kept waiting for the sex, action, none to speak of only one good fight scene throughout the book the sex was throughout but it was not hot and steamy as I would have liked. I was a bit diasppointed with this one, I bought the rest of the series hope money was not wasted.

I LOVED THE BOOK BUT WAS NOT CRAZY ABOUT THE FACT THAT I HAD ALREADY READ THE LEAD STORY IN AN ANTHOLOGY! SHE WOULD HAVE DONE HER FANS BETTER SERVICE BY EXPOUNDING ON WARFEM & MORE STORIES FROM THIS TIME.
