When the senior class of the world-famous Madame Ellington School for Girls begins their final year, several students experience life-changing events that will reshape who they are throughout their transitions into womanhood. From final exams to graduation dresses, these become second priority as they struggle to navigate their personal lives. CHRISHAUNDA LEE PEREZ is a creator and storyteller who cowrote and coproduced the short film “The Forever Tree,” which premiered at the Bentonville Film Festival in 2017. She also wrote Jama Connor Hedgecoth’s memoir, "Share the Dream: Building Noah's Ark One Prayer at a Time", released in 2018. To date, much of the works and collaborations by Mrs. Perez include complex women as a focus, and she will continue to find artistic and thoughtful ways to inspire empathy and compassion amongst them and for them.
