About the Author
Karen Akins lives in the MidSouth where she writes humorous, light YA sci-fi. When not writing or reading, she loves taking care of her son and hanging out with her husband. And watching Downton Abbey. Karen has been many things in her life: an archery instructor, drummer for the shortest-lived garage band in history, and a shockingly bad tic-tac-toe player. LOOP is her first novel.

I stumbled on this cookbook while browsing books and was delighted with the recipes inside! I’m only familiar with a few of the authors, but will be checking out the others listed. Tonight I made Laura Trentham’s Hero-Comforting Chicken and Dumplings-super quick and extremely easy! I am happy to report my husband really enjoyed it...and he’s picky about chicken and dumplings. I did have to substitute poultry seasoning for Fines Herbes and I added a pinch of fresh ginger ( I like fresh ginger in my chicken noodle and chicken and dumplings, lol), very delish and perfect for a chilly evening! Next up will be Darynda Jones’ Quick-N-Easy Broccoli Salad..because bacon makes most things taste better! -Jewelsbookpages
A Wide Variety of Recipes with Clear Instructions. Judging a Book by it's Cover: Festive design with rich, warm colors. Looking Deeper: Each author is featured in a mini bio, most have a short plug for one of their books, and each has contributed a favorite recipe or two. This collection of recipes range from quick and fun to full-on holiday meal type effort. Many sound wonderful and I cannot wait to try them (Stuffed Mushrooms, Chicken & Dumplings, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies... a Crock-Pot Cake!) Directions are clear and easy to comprehend.
Great holiday recipes that are clearly written.
