I could hardly put this book down once I started to read. Being a black female, I was able to relate to all of the themes in this book. I have either experienced or personally knew someone who had similar life experiences as the ones highlighted in this book. It was so uplifting and inspiring, that I plan to recommend it to my girlfriends. What I loved the most was that it was a juicy, realistic book, yet it still highlighted Christian principles. That's important to me, because most times I feel guilty watching juicy movies and I try to justify by telling myself that I wouldn't do those things since I'm a Christian. Reading this book was different. Instead of justifying, I found myself holding on to the promises of God and taking note of scriptures I can cling to if I ever had to undergo similar situations.

I love to read books by African American authors but some of them tend to be a little too raunchy for my taste so I look for books by African American Christian authors instead. If you are looking for a good, true to life fiction with a little bit of drama, but without the unnecessary sex and profanity, this is the perfect read for you. The characters were realistic and the author's writing style was easy and flowed nicely. Overall, a very good book. Left me wondering what I would do if I found myself in a similar situation. Good book.

What Kind of Fool is an awesome book by Rhonda McKnight that confirms true love does indeed conquer all. It is a must read for everyone. It should be included in pre-marital counseling for couples as well as for singles. Author McKnight displays the strength of marriage, dedication, communication, self-examination, and forgiveness. In the book, Greg and Angelina are confronted with communication, financial, forgiveness, infidelity, and trust issues within their marriage. Their marriage goes through several ups and downs. Author McKnight does a great job of keeping you engaged. I was eager to find out what was going to happen next in the story. I was excited to ride on the roller coaster that had several interesting twists and turns. Author McKnight brought this story full circle. It had an excellent and realistic plot and character development. The events that occurred were so realistic, I found myself talking to and giving advice to the characters to help them through the different issues. While reading the book, I asked questions such as: What kind of fool would jeopardize their marriage and career? What kind of fool would stay in a marriage after infidelity? What kind of fool would become involved with a married man and befriend his wife? What kind of fool thinks a married man is going to leave his wife for you? This book will make you believe in old fashioned love and that nothing is too hard for a couple as long as they have each other. It reminds you that although it is not always easy to forgive, it can happen if you allow it. It also reminds you how to treat your mate and that there is room for improvement on both sides and that you should not be so busy with outside commitments when your marriage and family should be your main priority. After completing the novel, Author McKnight did indeed answer all of my questions. The kind of fool that goes through the same issues as Greg and Angelina is the kind of fool who recognizes true perseverance, dedication, and commitment. What kind of fool will make you ask the question will I do everything in my marriage to make it work or did I do everything to make it work? Sometimes we walk away over petty issues instead of fighting it out to the end and remembering why we fell in love in the first place. I absolutely loved this book. I look forward to reading other novels by Author Rhonda McKnight and will definitely be recommending this one to everyone.

I can honestly say.. This is one of the best books I have ever read. The story telling drew me in immediately, and I was unable to put this book down. I completed it in less than 24 hours. I am strictly a reader of fiction, because reading is one of the few ways I can get some "ME" time. This book had me so engrossed in the story, I forgot all about Me and everyone else. As I turned the pages, I became so involved with the story, I began to pull little things out of it that I could use to help me with issues I have in my own life. The great thing about that, was, I was totally unexpected. This book made me laugh and cry, not only about the characters, but about myself. This story helped me to realize that I have been mad at God for a long time, and it helped me deal with it. Before you pick up this book, get ready. It's all you are expecting and a whole lot more. Five stars is not enough....

What Kind of Fool is the sequel to An Inconvenient Friend, by Rhonda McKnight. Readers are once again drawn into the world of character favorite, Samaria Jacobs. This time, Samaria has a secret that could ultimately destroy all that she holds dear. Excellently written and a definite must read. I highly recommend this book!

Rhonda McKnight's "What Kind of Fool" is the page-turning follow-up of the lives of Angelina and Greg Preston, Samaria and Mekhi and it does not disappoint! I truly enjoyed the three-part storytelling between the four main characters - Angelina is trying to put the deceit that Greg threw into their marriage with his player ways; she has no love for Greg's mistress and her former friend Samaria. But the past just won't go away when these three cross paths along with Samaria's childhood flame Mekhi thrown in the mix. I guarantee you will get surprise after jaw-dropping surprise with "What Kind of Fool" Why, you'd be a fool to not read this story!

What Kind Of Fool by Rhonda McKnight is a riveting book that continues with the story of Samaria Jacobs, Angelina and Gregory Preston. I was eager to read this book after reading An Inconvenient friend and I must admit Rhonda McKnight did not let me down. The characters were interesting, well thought out and you find yourself rooting for them even through all of their flaws. This was one of my favorite books by Rhonda. It is truly a page turner. I could hardly put it down. If you purchase this book you will not regret it. I can't wait until the next book by this wonderful author.

Thought Provoking and Wonderful I felt like I went on a journey with four people at a turning point in their lives. It made me question where my level of faith, hope & trust is. How do you forgive when it can lead to hurt in the future, be honest at the risk of losing something you have longed for. Is there a point in time when no matter what you have to reap what you sow ?? I loved taking this trip and of course Rhonda McKnight added a lot of humor and creativity along the way. by. Sammi M

Precarious Situations Readers were introduced to Samaria Jacobs in “Secrets and Lies,”’ but it wasn’t until “An Inconvenient Friend” that one truly comprehends what Samaria is willing to do to get what and who she wants. In “What Kind of Fool,” Samaria’s life is in transition mode. Pregnant, engaged, and facing jail time, she is desperately trying to clean up her messy life. The only problem is now she has a little more to lose. Can love and prayer finally set Samaria free of her demons? Or is it time to pay for her past sins? Dr. Gregory Preston is now feeling the weight of his decision to cheat on his wife. Miserable, he’s still blaming everyone else for their part in ruining his marriage and refuses to consult God. When he returns home to New Orleans, he realizes that his extramarital issues may be somewhat of a generational curse for the Preston men. When forced to be patient, Greg will have to learn to lean unto God. Can he do so? Will it mend his broken heart and fix his marriage? Angelina may be a woman of God, but she can no longer tolerate Greg’s cheating ways. When she files for divorce, she knows that she still loves him, but she can’t forget. Unfortunately, with pending legal troubles of her own, Angelina can’t help feeling sick. Greg’s desperately trying to weasel his way back into her heart. But how can she forgive when he’s made such a fool of her? If that weren’t bad enough, Samaria has the nerve to want her understanding. Will forgiving them be the medicine Angelina needs to cure herself? Rhonda McKnight’s “What Kind of Fool” is bursting at the seams with forgiveness, faith, love, hope, maturity and loss. The characters’ tests and testimonies are real and some, if not most of us, can relate. Definitely recommended reading for all! While the book can be considered a stand alone, I would recommend reading in order. Reviewed by: Crystal 4.5

“What Kind of Fool” by Rhonda McKnight is a novel that will truly help you if you’re struggling with forgiveness issues and issues of being a true friend. It’s an excellent sequel to “An Inconvenient Friend”. Two separate couples, four individuals dealing with the fall out of lying, cheating, not communicating and not trusting their significant other. God is the only one, in his mighty way, can make them take a look at their life and make necessary changes in their lives to be happy. Rhonda McKnight took you through the scenes (chapters) in a way you could feel the hurt, pain, love and joy. It will truly have you wondering just how it will all end. I highly recommend “What Kind of Fool”…but you must read “An Inconvenient Friend”, also. Daphne Williams, Coral Springs, FL

This book was incredible!!!!!!!! I could not put it down. I read it literally in 2 days. This a continuation from the previous books Secrets and Lies and An Inconvient Freind (Get them both). This book took you on a rolercoster and had you thrown for a loop sometimes but you never wanted to put it down. We see the characters of Angleline, Greg and Samaria come back and continue on with all of their past issues. I would highly recommend this book (and the other ones). Side note: Angeline is a true woman of God.

RM quickly became one of my favorite authors...and this third book in the series proves why. She consistently weaves a drama filled christian based novel without being 'preachy'. The characters are well developed and you can't help but to connect with them! There is a lesson on these pages and RM tells it through her wonderful writing style! Every book she drops..will be on my Nook! YOU WILL BE CAPTURED FROM PAGE ONE! MitziD

Rhonda McKnight pens a superb, well written sequel to " An Inconvenient Friend" that truly engulfs the awesome essence of what "My GOD" can do when we absolutely, positively, without a doubt trust "HIM." Ms. McKnight not only writes from her heart, but, diggs deep down in her spirit and soul and comes up with strong characters, who not only needs God, but before you reach "The End'" will realize the power of His unconditional love and compassion...especially for the sinners (Fools) seeking forgiveness and redemption! Samaria Jacobs was the manipulating, backstabbing, lying, hypocritical, gold-digging, husband and drug stealing, bad girl in "An Inconvenient Friend" who befriended Angelina Preston to steal her husband Gregory; however, her plans not only backfired in the worst possible way, leaving Samaria facing jail-time, but also revealed to her first hand the meaning of God's Word that says, "Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm!" "What Kind of Fool" continues the saga, with old characters, renewed relationships, unexpected pregnacies and so much more drama. It is a page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat, while taking you on one of the most intriguing and emotional roller coaster rides you could ever imagine. "What Kind of Fool" brings God's Grace and Mercy to meet Samaria, Mekhi, Angelina and Gregory at the foot of each of their crosses this fabulous story places upon them to bare. I "Highly Recommend" this book, and encourage you to read the preceding novels, "An Inconvenient Friend" and "Secrets and Lies!
