What Was The Sign Of Jonah
Peace to all, the peace loving God fearing people of the world, it is my absolute pleasure, to write this foreword. As you have heard me say before, none of us should step out on blind faith. We all must read and study, and challenge opposing views, if God had wanted us to be all one faith, he would've made it so. The Qur'an says, O mankind! We created new a single pair of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that ye may know each other not that she may despise each other verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous of you, and Allah, has full knowledge, and is well acquainted with all things.
~ Qur'an 49:13
Just like a physical muscle, that we must exercise to make strong, we must exercise the muscles of our mind. As a former Christian, raised as a Baptist, while my father was Roman Catholic seemed to me like a recipe for doubt and confusion, I grew up very confused about religion, about God, and about my place in the Lord. It is incumbent upon every seeker of the truth, to continue to explore, to examine, and to scrutinize what is presented to us as truth. You've all heard me or maybe you
haven't, tell the story of naked truth, and well-dressed lie.
The story goes, one day truth and lie decided to go swimming together, while they were swimming supposedly having a good time, lie distracted truth, lie then jumped up out the pool and grabbed truths clothing, truth jumped out of the pool and started chasing what had now become well-dressed lie, with naked truth in hot pursuit. That story is a reminder, of all the well-dressed lies that have been told in the name of Religion. untruth's that are propagated in the name of religion. Men have been led to spiritual
freedom from religion, and men have been led to slavery through false religion, false prophets, wolves dressed in sheep's clothing, don't be a mental Slave. Do not accept anything off face value, there are many things going on today in the name of God and
Religion, that greatly trouble me, and one is the fact there are many people who are engaging in idol worship and I don't mean the popular talent show American Idol. By idol worship, I mean the worship of man and personalities, people pray to men, and
man is not almighty God. Brother Maulana Muhammad Ali, in the Muslim prayer book says, quote”the real conviction that God is comes to man, not by the belief that there is a God in the outer
world, but by the realization of the divine within himself. You do not need any intermediary to speak to God on your behalf. The Qur'an says for man to be aware and not to erect Lords patrons, among themselves. Plain and pure unadulterated truth, brother Ahmed Deedat does it again, with his thought provoking prose and style of writing, after reading this book you may not ever look at your religion the same. My question to you is, is your religion all that it can be, all that it should be, if not it will make you no less of a believer to examine other religions. Personally for me when I found Islam, or should I say when Islam found me, I have never once looked back, can you say the same. Your faith, should serve you in good times and bad, in choppy or calm seas
as you continue your quest for the truth, look no further than
what's inside of you, remember God put nothing outside of you that is greater than what's inside of you. What has a man got, if not himself, then he has not.
