This book is well-written- I really felt like I was sitting down and having a conversation with the author, rather than reading an advice book. He's very open with his own struggles and experiences in his marriage. The chapters aren't overly long, and the book itself is fairly short. All that being said, it still took me a month to read this book because of the content- I kept stopping to digest the material before moving on. This is an excellent book with great information, but it's not a feel-good book by any means. The truths that the author shares are challenging ones. And of course, not everything that he shares is applicable in all situations to all husbands. Still, after reading it, I felt much more equipped in conversations with my husband. It's been a real blessing to both of us. Disclosure: I received a copy of this book to review for myself, thanks to Baker Publishing. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
