About the Author

Steve Woodhall is a butterfly enthusiast and photographer who began watching and collecting butterflies at an early age. He is President of the Lepidopterists’ society of Africa, and has contributed to and authored several books, including Field guide to Butterflies of South Africa and the popular What’s that butterfly? Lindsay Gray trained in garden design, as well as photography and journalism. She is a regular contributor to The gardener magazine and has authored and co-authored A sense of space: The gardens of Jan Blok and Making sense of garden design, respectively. Lindsay is principal of The school of garden design, where she teaches and encourages her students to garden in an eco-friendly manner.
