Whiskey Undone is the third and final book in the Whiskey and Lies series and although it can be read as a standalone the first two books are amazing! Whiskey Undone is my favorite of the three, Carrie Ann pushes the romantic suspense aspect and I loved it! Loch Collins is a single father, owns a gym and a security company. He is quiet and often broody but will go to the ends of the earth to protect the ones he loves. Ainsley Harris is a high school science teacher and Loch's best friend. Growing up in Whiskey she has always been close to the Collins family. Ainsley has been in love with Loch for as long as she can remember, she has tried to move on but her heart only wants him. Loch and Ainsley are tested when there is a murder in Whiskey and it's close to home. Loch's fears about his past coming back to haunt him and all those he loves are in danger. These two not only have to fight to stay alive but fight for the love they have been both denying one another. (less)

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book. I am always a bottle of mixed emotions when it comes to the last book of a series. Happy because “Yay, a new book”, sad because “Boo, it’s the end of the series,’ and as Loch Collins and the rest of the Collins Family have been around for a while this one being the end is especially hard. Loch is the last single man of the hunky Collins men and I believe the grumpiest and hunkiest. Ainsley Harris has been around the Collins family for years; went to school with Loch’s sister and as adults she and Loch became besties, she also has a little secret that she has been keeping from him for years. Ok seriously there is something about a growly man that gets my motor running and boy does Loch get my motor running. Loch owns a gym and security company in town, he runs his businesses and raises his daughter that is all the man does. OMG, Ryan just wrote the perfect man pumped, awesome with kids, protective, and growly!!!! Swoooooooooooon!!!!!!! The push and pull between these two is amazing. Change is never easy and when it’s a change in a relationship it’s even harder. Loch is afraid what the change will do to his daughter, not to mention no one he has ever been with has stayed and now that there has been a murder in town he’s afraid that his past has comeback to hurt his family and that means Ainsley too. He pulls her too him because he can’t help himself when she’s around, but he pushes her away to try and keep her safe. Ainsley is own strong woman because if my man was so damn wishy washy I’d have to hit him with a frying pan!!! Ryan has once again wrote a beautiful love story with heat, passion, danger and family. No matter what the love story she writes is about one of her main themes is family has always got your back, always there when you need them, and love you for you.

Tragedy and danger strikes Loch as he and Ainsley finally give in to their feelings for each other, their long-time friendship becoming something more. I liked how the storyline slowly developed and the tension - and their passion - simmered. I really enjoyed all the characters of the Whiskey and Lies series and how the heartwarming sense of family goes beyond the bounds of the immediate Collins family. Such an enjoyable story and series!

Loch has a past that he isn’t proud of, but he gave it all up when he found out that he was going to be a single father as his daughter’s mother wanted nothing to do with either of them. The only people he allows close are his family and his best friend Ainsley. Ainsley is a teacher and although her feelings for Loch run much deeper than friends, she doesn’t want to share how she really feels as she doesn’t want to take the chance that it will destroy their friendship. She has been by his side as he has raised his daughter and she is very close to her as well. One night changes everything and he starts to see her as much more than a friend. Once they crossed that line there was no going back but when his past becomes his present, he tries to push her away to protect her, but she is determined to show him that together they can overcome anything. I really enjoyed these characters. Ainsley is feisty and fiery while Loch is an alpha protector and Misty is too cute for words. This is story of two people who were always meant to be together once they found the courage to take the leap from friends to lovers. Full of romance, suspense and twists this is a great way to end the series.

This book was an amazing ending to the Whiskey and Lies series. Ainsley and Loch's story was filled with trouble and heartache, but the ending was so fantastic that it brought tears to my eyes. The story starts with a murder pretty quickly and Loch being the prime suspect. We all know he didn't do it, but who did it and why isn't initially clear. Loch can be a bit of a jerk to Ainsley at times, but she's strong enough to fight for them and what they have. I really can't say enough good things about this story. I devoured it quickly and am looking forward to what Carrie Ann Ryan crafts next.

Loved this series with the intrigue & the mysteries.. I had a hard time with this book with Loch holding so many "silly" secrets. Aisling is there for him...as is his brothers, and the rest of this family. Luckily Loch figured it out in the end & this stories ends well.

5 WHISKEY UNDONE STARS!! Love this book so much.....it was simply perfect!! Ainsley and Loch's story was beautiful with all the feels us romance readers look for. This is probably my favorite book in this series so far. I highly suggest this Book, so make sure to 1-Click.

At last we get Loch and Ainsley's story, and it is a good one. We have read about them in the other books in the series, best friends that obviously should be more, but now we find out what has been keeping Loch from making his move. Loch has a past that he doesn't talk about much, not even with his brothers. When one of his employee's is murdered at his gym he doesn't immediately suspect that it is tied to his past, until the envelopes arrive... Ainsley has been in love with Loch for a long time, but she knows he has been issues and has been careful to keep her feelings from him. She doesn't want to lose what she has, a lot of time with him and his daughter, Misty, and his wonderful family. One night in each other's arms changes everything. When Loch tries to push her away she knows something is up and she is not going to have it. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!! Since book 1 I’ve been dying to see what happens with Loch and Ainsley!! The way these two finally got together was THE BEST!! I loved the uncertainty of it, the breaking point and the pieces that followed. There were so many layers to them as a couple, even before they were a couple. It was great to see them get peeled back to see how they fit together. One of the most adorable parts was how Misty was involved. This little girl seemed to really want to play Cupid, even though that’s never really made mention. The twists and turns in this book were amazing. I loved the edge of suspense that this book took on. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I love how Loch dealt with the bad situations and how caveman like he was about protecting everyone around him. And the ending. I am the biggest fan of epilogues and Carrie Ann does them SO WELL. This was a beautiful ending to an amazing series. So glad we got to see another connection with the Montgomery’s with this family

Oh I really loved these two together, but man oh man, did they bring the water works with their story! Ainsley and Loch fell into being best friends without any rhyme or reason. Then, once Loch's daughter was born and her mother signed off rights to her, Ainsley became an even bigger part of Loch's life, helping him out with his little girl. Ainsley has always loved Loch, but didn't want to lose her best friend. Loch is ridiculously afraid of changing things between him and Ainsley, because he has issues about relationships Then, everything bubbles up, and we get to see how silly Loch's thought process truly is, and how kick-butt Ainsley really is. I loved that she fought for what she wanted and took no guff from her buddy. I smiled at his confusion, and railed at his actions he took in that confusion. They are electric together, and all the familiarity from being friends for years, only ramps up the wattage!

Wow what a emotional and thrilling end to an amazing series loved this small town of Whiskey so much..... the passion and intensity of this exciting journey is packed into every chapter. We finally get Ainsley and Loch's story and it so does not disappoint. They have been friends forever and have kept that distance for various reasons, but the dam has broken on their undeniable attraction and there is no turning back now... Loved it!!!

This is the 3rd book in the Whiskey and Lies series and I would absolutely read the first 2 books before this one so that you can understand the main characters relationship before this book. This one is the last in this series and it's about Loch Collins and Ainsley Harris. Loch and Ainsley have been best friends for years. Loch has secrets that he keeps from his family and friends in the hopes of keeping them safe. What he doesn't understand is that when he gives in to what he considers his own weakness while he is angry, it will change everything in his life. Ainsley has her own secret she keeps. The fact that she has loved Loch for years but she doesn't want to say anything in case it forces her to lose him for good. But after they both make a choice one night, now they have to decide what is truly best for them and whether to fight for each other as well keep everyone they love safe. I absolutely loved this one! I had wanted to know why Loch seemed so serious and repressed, and reading about why in this book definitely made me understand. But it also makes you sad for him. To understand just how much he went through and what his hopes for his own future had been at one time. And then learning about Ainsley and what happened in her past? That was heart breaking! Watching them both fight things out and actually learn what will bring them peace and happiness in the long run was beyond great! And then you throw in the suspense part and you will be on the edge of your seat! Another great read in this series! I am sad to see it end but maybe we can have some off shoots from it!

This is book three and the final book in the Whiskey and Lies series. It features the highly anticipated and longed for story of Loch and Ainsley. This book provides readers with plenty of drama, danger, suspense, murder, action, angst, heartache, passion and romance. Your emotions definitely get put through the wringer as Loch and Ainsley's actions set in motion a ripple effect that rocks the very foundation of their relationship and those around them. For me, it was very easy to feel the deep and often painful emotional turmoil that these two struggled with as they tried to fight their desires and feelings for each other. This is an excellent read, and a wonderful conclusion to this series.

I was floored by Loch and Ainsley's story. I knew they had the blinders on about who they were to each other. And yet Whiskey Undone really did undo me. To learn their back stories all the while having the current problems going on, simply kept me hooked. Ainsley was certainly no push over either. I loved her fierce determination and strength. This was the best of the Whiskey series. It was a stand alone, however I felt that I knew the others so much better for having read their stories as well. Of all of them, I think Loch’s mom stole the story in the kitchen.

Wow! I absolutely loved Loch and Ainsley's story!!! They have been best friends for years and she has been his and his daughters rock. She has been in love with him for years, but is too afraid to say anything and ruin what they have. One night at the family bar Loch realizes that he is seeing Ainsley not just as his best friend, but someone he is lusting after. That scares him on many levels, and he feels he needs to keep his emotions locked down. That all changes when a threat from his past comes back into his life, and his daughter and the woman he loves are now in danger. Will he have the courage to admit his feelings after one smoking hot night together, or will he push her away forever? I'm not telling...read to find out!!!!

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! It was a great book! Ainsley + Loch have been friends for forever. They are also very attracted to each other, but will they take the risk ? Ainsley stood by his side thru thick and thin. Loch always knew that Ainsley will always be there for him. However, will they give love a chance ? It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!

I didn't think Carrie Ann Ryan could top the two previous Whiskey books, but she did. This one had so much going for it. Loch and Ainsley were BFF's and both wanted to be more, but had never acted on it. When they finally did act on it, things popped up in Loch's life that made him push her away. I will add more later after it is published, but I couldn't have enjoyed this book more. Kudo's Carrie

This is the final book in the Whiskey and Lies series, and what a way to end! To start off with best friends who each want more but are too afraid, and then go into a bunch of danger and very bad people doing very bad things, this book keeps you on your toes! And you will absolutely fall in love with Loch and Ainsley. And Misty of course. I’m sad to see it end, but Carrie Ann Ryan ended it with a bang!!!

I’ve been waiting for Loch and Ainsley’s book and it was certainly worth it. Their journey gave me all the feels. Perfect mix of angst, suspense and sexy times. Sad the Whiskey & Lies series is ending but can’t wait to see what Carrie Ann Ryan delivers next. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC

Whiskey Undone is the exciting conclusion to Carrie Ann Ryan's Whiskey and Lies series (a Montgomery Ink spinoff). This series definitely went out with a bang and this story is one of Ms. Ryan's best yet (which is no easy feat!). Even though this is Book 3 and I think it would probably stand fine on its own, I'd still highly recommend picking up the first 2. That way you can see what everyone else has seen, the tension and heat building between Loch and Ainsley right from the start! This story was loaded from start to finish with action, adventure, suspense and tons of heat! Great characters and an edge of your seat plot, drew me in from the start and I didn't want to put it down! One of my all-time favorites!

I absolutely loved this story!! It was a fantastic read with amazing characters. This book can be read as a stand alone thought it is the third and final book in the Whiskey and Lies series. We met Ainsley and Loch in the previous books and get to know a little about them prior to starting this book if you read them first. This book picks up with the 2 best friends and we quickly find out that they do feel more than just friendship towards each other but neither has ever given a hint to the others that they do, because they don't want to ruin what they have. I loved the way that this story was written. It drew me in from beginning to end and it had a great mix of action and intrigue with the relationship. I loved their personalities and just connected with them from the get go. This was just a wonderful story to read and I was happy to finally get to see them find their happy ending! It was very well done and I'm excited for whatever comes out next by Carrie Ann Ryan. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I love all things romance. But I absolutely adore romantic suspense. I enjoy a sweet, light hearted love story, but add in a mystery to be solved, suspense, and secrets? I am in heaven. And this author does that better than any other I've read. Whiskey Undone rates as one of the top ones she's written, IMHO. Not only do I get my romantic suspense mystery fix, but a good lovers to friends romance thrown in for good measure! This story was so well written, I was on the edge of my seat throughout most of the book. I was so immersed in the characters lives, that my emotions were bouncing from one extreme to another. This book will appeal to so many readers, regardless of whether they are new to the CAR worlds or if they've read everything she's written. Ainsley is Loch's best friend. They have been best friends for so long, their lives are completely intertwined, and there is no separating them. But it's always stopped there, despite Ainsley's secret feelings for Loch. Loch, on the other hand is a complete enigma. As much as he loves his family, as close as they are, there are parts of his life that no one talks about, that I'm not sure anyone really knows about. And he holds himself apart from everyone, to a certain extent, because of that. When things start going awry in Whiskey, nothing is as it at first appears. The story of Loch and Ainsley, despite the many secrets and the abundance of suspense, is an amazing blend of romance and mystery. I love how close the family is, how they don't hesitate to jump in to help each other, despite the possible danger. I love the writing style of this author, how it seems to flow smoothly, even when there is a lot going on in the story. I might not understand why things happen the way they do when it's going on, but it always makes sense in the end! This book is a must read!
