Editorial Reviews

London's Vine Voice - Vine Voice
This was an excellent, polished short read, full of interesting characters, a totally unexpected murder mystery, on Isabelle's wedding day of all days. It was very short, but it had warmth, a good mystery, some very believable characters, some humour, some intrigue and even danger, and a couple of red herrings. The explanation was very plausible, and all the characters likeable.

After reading a few pages, you know something is wrong about her marriage and her family. Her newlywed husband is not who he said he was and is killed by someone on their wedding night. Who is responsible for his death keeps you guessing until the end of the book. I typically don't get really excited about murder mysteries in general, but this little novella I did find intriguing; it held my interest and kept me turning pages until it was done.

As always, I am impressed with the author's ability to tell a good story. Whispers of Murder was especially good because I like when I can connect to a character and feel like I want to yell out to her to make one decision or another. She's vulnerable and at a place in her life where everything she thought she had and wanted was not what it seems, and after a good dose of reality and a love connection from her past, she slowly learns who she is again, but that's not before someone tries to kill her on a few occasions. This both held my attention and kept me reading all the way through until the end.

I've read all of Cheryl Bradshaw's books, and this one was especially intriguing because of the new character she created for this specific book. I love a good mystery, and this was just that. All of the characters were interesting and unique enough to keep me turning pages. She has a talent for ending chapters in a way that makes you want to keep reading to find out what happens next. She's a good storyteller, and one of the top five mystery/thriller authors that I read. I'm hoping she'll write a few more of these and do a print version.

This was a fun novella, but not short like most novellas I've read. Thr suspects led me in all directions, and even toward the end, I did not know who the real murderer was. I also liked the romance in the book. It added a lot of favor to the already frustrated main character who is struggling to find her way. Great plot, great twists, highly recommended.

This novella was a good read. I liked the story line. I was actually surprised at the end. The villain was someone I hadn't paid any attention to in the book. I don't think it was worth what I paid for it. It should have been free or .99 cent! Simone24

Cheryl Bradshaw's Whispers of Murder Let’s go to Isabelle Donnelly’s wedding. A wedding that was planned very quickly by the bride and groom. Why so fast?? They hardly knew each other. Then the wedding night….the bride becomes a widow by morning. What is happening? Why is her new husband dead? Was he the intended victim or was the bride? Short enjoyable read. Colorful characters in a puzzling plot. Keeps you guessing until the end. The twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. Thanks to the author for the eBook. My opinion is my own.
