Sometimes the place you’re trying to run from is exactly where your heart needs to be…

Bailey Hart has never felt like she measures up to her cousins at Heart Fire Ranch. It doesn’t help that her rocker attitude has made her a black sheep in her small town. So when her band gets their big break in Los Angeles, “Wild Hart” can’t run fast enough…If only there weren’t so many reasons to stay.

After a harrowing stint in the Oakland Police Department, sheriff’s deputy Chase McKee has returned home a hero, and yet he feels anything but. And when he finds out Bailey might be leaving for good, the feelings he’s always harbored for his best friend’s cousin just won’t stay hidden. He knows she wants to get the heck out of Dodge, but he’s hoping to show her where she really belongs—with him.

Will this Wild Hart turn her back on love, or will she realize her heart really belongs closer to home?

T. J. Kline was bitten by the horse bug early and began training horses at fourteen—as well as competing in rodeos and winning several rodeo queen competitions—but has always known writing was her first love. She also writes under the name Tina Klinesmith. In her spare time, she can be found spending as many hours as possible laughing hysterically with her husband, teens, and their menagerie of pets in Northern California. That is, when she isn't running around the California Gold Country researching new stories.

Finding a way to cope with the past while chasing your happy ever after is the theme of T.J. Kline’s latest story in her Healing Harts series, WILD AT HEART. Wild child Bailey Hart has been a troublemaker since her mother abandoned her. Her cousins step in to make the family Bailey needs, but what she really wants is a chance as at a singing career. She never thought to add her longtime crush, Chase, into the equation. As in her previous installments of the series, WILD AT HEART paints a realistic picture of Bailey and Chase’s story. They are two people with issues that must be worked out before they can find the happiness they deserve. With the help of secondary characters introduced in previous books, they find a way. WILD AT HEART is a great story and a fitting addition to an already wonderful series. While a part of the Healing Harts series, it’s a standalone that can be ready by itself. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for more installments!

I loved Bailey and Chase's story! It seemed like everyone in town knew they belonged together except for the two of them. Of course, with both of them being stubborn and convinced they were not what the other person needed, they've spent years avoiding their feelings for each other. Bailey feels like she doesn't fit in with the rest of the Harts, and thinks the only way to be who she is without having people gossip about her is to pursue a singing career in LA. Chase lives with guilt over his partner's death and doesn't think he can give Bailey all she needs emotionally. Chase knows he should let Bailey go, but he works on trying to convince her to stay. Instead of giving her reasons to stay, he seems to push her further away. There is not doubt about their feelings for each other even as they seem to grow further apart. Sweet, sexy and emotional romance and a great add to the series. I loved the first two books of the series, wasn't as crazy about third book, but this one is right up there as a favorite. Can't wait to read Gage's story and I'm really curious about what Blake is hiding! 4.5 stars I received an ARC via Edelweiss for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

4.5 stars – rounded The youngest of the Harts has her chance in the spotlight, but Bailey would much prefer being with her band in Los Angeles, pursuing her own dreams. She’s put them off long enough, happily helping out at the ranch, even as she never quite felt like she was ‘enough’. Now it is simply a matter of telling everyone she’s ready to go, and following through. I have always liked Bailey’s rocker edge, she’s sweet and kind, will do everything in her power to help her family, but she wants the opportunity to learn from her own mistakes with no safety net. She’s always drawn people to her, and Chase is no exception. Bailey’s overprotective cousin Justin’s best friend, Chase is back in town from working in the Oakland Police Department. While Bailey’s always had a crush – she never shared it, nor did she think that Chase felt the same way Back in town after a long absence, Chase just wants the chance to show Bailey that they could be more than friends. Interactions and dialogue that highlights their long acquaintance, the sparks fly off these two even as they take their own sweet time to turn them to flame. Emotionally layered, the characters need to deal with old issues, resentments and anger that will both heal them and help them to discover what is really important. Communication and the healing that open and honest sharing can bring is highlighted here as our couple comes to see their own strengths, and how to reach for their dreams. The third I’ve read in this series, Bailey’s story is one of learning to love yourself, to be ready for the opportunity to really love someone else. Each story has focused on healing, emotional and physical, and Wild at Heart is no different. Kline brings characters that you want to know (or may know already) and gives us a glimpse into their lives, showing the possibilities for more… I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via Edelweiss for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility

Wild at Heart by T.J. Kline is a sweet heartfelt book. I could not put this book down, T.J. Kline knows how to hold the readers attention. This story has everything I look for in a contemporary romance book, it is sweet, it has love, funny, emotional and great likable characters. Bailey has always been on the wild side and in a band and Chase a hot funny police officer that has been in love with her for some time. Bailey's band gets a contract and is leaving for LA, Chase is asking her to stay. Question is will she make the right choice, you will have to read it to find out. This is the first book in this series for me and now I can't wait to read the others in the series. I absolutely suggest you read this book and the series and I promise you will fall love with T.J. Kline too. I was given an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Bailey Hart has been the victim of gossip for as long as she can remember, because of her infamous mother. She is supposed to join her band in Los Angeles to record an album, but she hasn’t told her cousins, whom she helps around. She cannot wait to get away from the small town where she lives, especially from her overprotective cousin Justin. She cannot be what her cousins want her to be, she doesn’t want to, and she’s just about to explode. Chase McKee is back home from the Oakland Police Deparment; everybody likes Chase. Chase and Bailey have known each other a long time, she has always had a crush on him, and he would have asked her out eons ago, were it not that Justin is a friend of his, and he fears Justin’s reaction. Bailey’s music career is more a means of obtaining her freedom than a real passion; it’s the only thing she’s good at. Ms. Kline makes us experience the angst that Bailey is living, and it is a heck of a struggle; there is so much repressed anger, so much resentment that Bailey is almost not living. WILD AT HEART is a very emotional romance where the characters learn to listen and to really communicate; to reveal what is really buried in their hearts. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Just not much substance in this third of the series...felt very contrived as though the author was working too hard to create a plot...just didn't work...very disappointing.
