I CAN’T take my eyes off her.

It’s a pretty fucked-up thing, really. I kissed her best friend and even though it didn’t really mean anything, I know that it’s not working in my favor. In fact, there’s pretty much nothing going in my favor right now.

I’m the president of the Wild Men MC, a club with a history I’m not exactly proud of. I told myself that when I took over, things would change, and I’ve tried my hardest to make that a reality. The old club president was my stepfather, who happened to be the biological father of one of the members of a rival MC. When Rake found out the truth of the situation, shit didn’t go over well. My stepfather raised me instead of him and his sister—something I always felt guilty over, especially after meeting Rake’s sister, Anna. I promised myself that I’d try to make up for it, that I’d always be there for her, and so far I’ve kept my promise. She’s like a sister to me now.

Rake, on the other hand, hates me with a passion. Probably rightly so, considering we used to be enemies. The Wild Men and the Wind Dragons have always had bad blood, but it was brought to a head when one of the Wind Dragons’ women, Mary, was killed by a Wild Man who broke into their compound. It turns out Mary meant something special to everyone, especially Arrow. When my stepdad died and I became president of the Wild Men, I wanted things to change. I’ve tried to close the gap between the two clubs, and have made progress, considering we don’t try to kill each other on sight anymore.

But like everything, it’s one step forward and two steps back with them. And I can admit that it’s probably my fault Rake still hates me. There was the incident when I invited Anna, a WD old lady, and her friend Bailey to my birthday party at the clubhouse. In fact, I may have guilted her into coming, which was stupid on my part. I should’ve known better. Oh, and did I mention that I also kissed Bailey, who’s now Rake’s old lady and Tia’s best friend? Tia, the woman I can’t stop staring at.

If I’m being honest, the reason I kissed Bailey was to stop Rake from being an idiot, to push him into stepping up and claiming her. Of course I got something out of it—a kiss from an attractive woman—but really I was just enjoying getting Rake worked up. Getting under his skin.

I tend to do things like that. My cousin Shayla always tells me that I like to push people just to see how far I’m able to do it. I test people. I like to see if I can manipulate them into doing what I want without asking them for it directly.

It’s not one of my finer qualities. I’m trying to work on it.

I down the last mouthful of my drink, then slide the empty glass along the bar. When I see Tia glance over at me, her eyes widening, I know that I need to leave before she comes to talk to me.

Then why the fuck aren’t my feet moving? Nothing good can come from us speaking. Why dangle something in front of me that I know I can’t have? Waste of time. The memory of us kissing flashes through my mind, making me grit my teeth. Yeah, she is fuckin’ tempting, but she isn’t for me. I know she’s very friendly, not the type to snub someone she knows. At least that’s what Anna has told me about her, that she isn’t a shy woman—she’s more of the takes-whatever-she-wants type. So she won’t sit across the room and give me her best sex eyes, waiting for me to approach her like some women I know. She’s a fighter. I can already tell that about her, and I like it.

To be honest, I like her more than I should, and now isn’t the time for me to get tangled up with a woman, especially one with ties to Rake and the WDMC. She also has a kid, and what the fuck do I know about being a father?

No, I’m not as good a man as Rake—who slipped right into the role of father to Bailey’s daughter, Cara—and I know that, so there’s no point in pretending. Anna told me how amazing he’s been, and how he took to fatherhood almost naturally. I also have a shitload of things going on in my life, especially with my club, and a woman to take care of is not what I need right now.

I wait a few more moments before I force myself to throw some money on the bar and head home. I make my way to the exit, not making eye contact with anyone, and definitely not looking in Tia’s direction. I’m at my bike when I hear her voice.

“Not even a wave hello?” she says in a tone that’s a mixture of dry and amused.

I turn around to face her and flash her a smile I’ve perfected over the years, one that oozes charm and confidence. “Got somewhere to be.”

“Don’t we all,” she murmurs, coming to stand in front of me. She’s a tiny thing. Petite. With her oval-shaped face, light blond hair, and wide blue eyes, she has an ethereal look to her, like an angel. When you take a deeper look into her eyes, though, they’re sharp and knowing, more like the devil’s. I also happen to know that she cusses like a sailor, those sweet lips saying anything and everything.

“How’ve you been, Tia?” I ask her, knowing that she isn’t going to let me leave without some small talk at least.

“Fine,” she says, narrowing her eyes a little. “How have you been, Talon? It’s been a while since I last saw you.”

It hasn’t been that long. The last time I saw her was when I ran into her and Bailey while they were out drinking one night. I stayed, just to make sure they got home safely—or at least that’s what I tell myself.

“Been busy,” I reply, which is an understatement. I have so much going on right now that the stress is going to eat me alive. And it’s not like Tia and I hang around the same people. Sure, she has ties to the Wind Dragons through Bailey, but the only person I see on a regular basis is Anna, and I haven’t even seen much of her lately. I don’t have many fans in the WDMC, especially after my birthday. But my cousin Shayla couldn’t be there, and Anna is the only other person I have who is like family to me, besides my club brothers.

“Who are you here with?” I ask her, surprised that the woman I saw her in the bar with wasn’t Bailey, or any other woman I’ve seen before.

“Friend from work,” she replies, shifting her handbag up on her shoulder. “Bailey’s watching Rhett for me, said I deserved a break.” She smirks, her eyes smiling. “Practically pushed me out the door. Apparently ‘a break’ is code for a drink. So here I am, being social.”

My lip twitches in amusement. One thing I’ve learned about Tia in the short time I’ve spent with her is that she has a good sense of humor.

“And how’s that going for you?”

“Being social,” I say, my gaze lowering to her slender neck. She’s wearing a sexy baby-blue suede choker that’s a mix of sweet and sensual. I find myself wanting to gently put my hand on her throat and trail my fingers down her body until I reach the valley in between her breasts.

“It’s kind of nice to get out,” she admits, and my eyes snap back up to her face. She grins, as if she knows exactly what I was thinking. She takes a step closer to me and looks me dead in the eye. I know grown men who are too afraid to do that. “I like Knox’s Tavern. You always see a friendly face, and Reid, Ryan, Summer, and Tag are awesome people.”

“You look stunning without makeup,” I blurt out, taking in her flawless skin and long lashes. She really is a true fuckin’ beauty, and she doesn’t need any of that shit on her face.

“I look stunning with it too,” she fires back, grinning.

“You do,” I agree, mainly because I’m not an idiot.

She flashes me another smile, then says, “Nice to see you again, Talon.”

She gets up on her tiptoes and kisses me on my cheek, then walks back into the bar without looking back. I touch my cheek with my fingers, wondering what it would be like to feel those lips on every part of my body. Just then my phone beeps with a text, bringing me back to reality. It’s from Ranger.

Need you at the clubhouse, now.

I shove my phone back into my pocket and get on my bike. What the hell is going on? Lately it’s been one issue after another.

I ride back to the Wild Men clubhouse and rush inside, looking around for Ranger. I find him with his hand around Lash’s throat, just as Slice, my second-in-command, beats me to tearing the two of them apart. Slice is one of the very few men, along with Ranger, I trust implicitly. We’ve been through a lot together and always have each other’s backs.

“What the fuck is going on here?” I ask, looking between the two men. Ranger hardly ever loses his temper, so the fact he’s about to choke Lash out says a hell of a lot. Slice finally gets Ranger to let go, and Lash falls to the ground, clutching his throat and gasping for air. Ranger turns to me, chest heaving and eyes narrowed. “This shit is getting fuckin’ tiring.” With that parting comment, he storms off. Losing my temper, I pull Lash up from the ground and slam him against the wall. “What the fuck was that about?”

“Nothing,” Lash says, avoiding my gaze. The men won’t snitch on each other and I know it—I even respect it—but it fuckin’ pisses me off sometimes. I let go of Lash, who looks between me and Slice, then leaves the room.

“What were they fighting over? Any idea?” I ask him, staring at the spot Lash just vacated.

Slice shrugs, shaking his head. “Nope, but we’ll find out.”

I grit my teeth, knowing that this is going to play on my mind until I figure out what happened.

“This is a biker clubhouse, Talon, not a fuckin’ country club. Fights will happen; don’t stress over it. They’ll sort it out between them.”

I take a deep breath and look up at the ceiling. “Yeah, you’re right.”

I don’t know why, but I just have this feeling. A bad one. Like everything is about to come crashing down on us.

Something has changed around here, and I’m going to find out exactly what it is.

This seemed to be rushed. Less than 90 pages and it only skimmed Talon and Tia's story. You are also left with a cliffhanger. You know there is a problem in Talon's MC but never find out the source nor is it resolved. The other books in the series were so much better. This could have been included as novella in with one of the other books.

The novella's less than 90 pages, and not close to Fernando's best work. Compared to the other MC books in this series, it was rushed, had superficial characters and a weak plot. Tia is a conceited, shallow woman, who is " too pretty, too petite, and everyone wants me". Of course Talon is also weak, so who notices the difference? The plot could have been developed more and the characters could have had some depth to them. Suggest reading her other books instead.

Characters were blah, story was boring, can't believe I paid for 93 so-so pages.

It's not a bad story, I just wish that it was longer.

Thumbs down. Storyline to be continued...

Not a bad book. It could have been a great book but it was rushed and all over the place. It ends with a cliffhanger and cant find the second book. Just save your money and read the next book in the series. It tells you who was the bad guy Talon was looking for.

I have to say this book isn't as sexy as the others in the eeries and it's only 93 pages. It leave you with a big cliffhanger. Talon and Tia have an instant attraction to each other but they're both guarded from trusting the opposit sex. Talon is the President of the Wild Men MC and there'sa traitor in his club. I highly recommend this series to everyone but remember there's a cliffhanger.

Continued to love each book more.

The only reason I'm giving a r instead of 5 stars is how it ended. I understand that this is a novella but I feel like they story of Tia and talon were left unfinished and it ended so abruptly. We never found out who is behind the killing at his clubhouse or even what happens with him and the WDMC once he really starts getting serious with Tia. Hope there is a next book coming out about them to!!

Wild Ride is a part of Wind dragon MC series. I don’t understand why did the author divided the story in two books? Why, oh why? I love Wind dragons and I was thrilled to read another story about these MC and its Men. It is interesting tough that in this story the main Hero comes from rival MC. Characters well develop story interesting but it ends in the middle so yeah some negative points here. *ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

You've got the prez of one MC, Talon, who's attracted to the best friend of an old lady from another MC, Tia. Talon knows that seeing Tia will cause issues so he fights his attraction but he can't fight it for long. The more he sees Tia the more his control slips when he's around her. Tia, a single mom, knows her attraction to Talon means something but she isn't going to beg for his attention. Wild Ride is a safe biker novella that didn't have OW drama or cheating. It's short and sweet but ends in a way that leaves the story open for the next Novella. I liked all the characters but I personally, would have liked to see Talon be more aggressive in his pursuit of Tia. I think with this being a biker story, he was a bit too tame. This was an okay read for me. It is a novella and a quick read, I felt it a bit lacking, wanted more. It has plenty of suspense and I loved Tia and Talon. Looking forward to the next book.

I enjoyed this! It's very short and not really a complete story but I'm guessing it's sets up what comes next in the series while giving us a taste of Talon and Tia together. There's trouble brewing inside the Wild Men MC and since Talon is their president his life is about to get crazy. The one good thing he has is Tia. Unable to resist the attraction any longer these two finally come together. Will the ride get to wild for it to last? Can't wait for the next book in this series. I'm completely hooked!

3.5 stars---WILD RIDE is a novella length story in Chantal Fernando’s contemporary, adult WIND DRAGONS MC series focusing on the men and women of the Wind Dragons motorcycle club. This is rival MC president Talon, and Tia’s story line. WILD RIDE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty although I recommend reading the series in order for cohesion and backstory. Tia is Bailey’s (Rake’s Redemption) best friend, and Talon has played a secondary role throughout the series. Told from dual first person perspectives (Talon and Tia) WILD RIDE is a story of forbidden romance between the Wild Men MC’s president Talon, and Tia-a dental assistant under the protection of the Wind Dragon MC. Tia has pined after Talon since their first meeting but Talon is not willing to risk the tepid truce between the Wind Dragon MC and the Wild Men he leads. When attraction and need pull our leading couple together, Talon knows he is going to face the wrath of Rake, a man almost as close as the brother’s in the Wild Men MC. But trouble is brewing for Talon when one of his men is killed, and the murderer may be someone on the inside. Hoping to uncover a possible mole, Talon calls in a marker from the Wind Dragons MC. Wind Dragon prospect Vinnie and Shayla’s story is next -Wolf’s Mate August 2016. Shayla is under the protection of Wild Men’s president Talon. WILD RIDE is a fast paced, friends to lovers, quick building romance that looks inside the lives of the rival MC. Talon is a man determined to protect the woman that he loves and keeping her safe means keeping private his relationship with Tia. Because of the novella length of the story, I felt the character building was lacking, and I wanted more of Tia and Talon. We are introduced to several members of the Wild Men MC; Rake and Bailey (Rake’s Redemption) play secondary and supporting roles, as well as a few cameo appearances by a number of the Wind Dragons MC. The world building continues to focus on the dangerous and competitive world of the motorcycle clubs: the members, the illegal activities, violence and death, and the women they love. The premise is entertaining but lacks the intimate details and building relationship between our leading couple; the characters are colorful and animated; the romance is a quick build to a happily ever after for now-I am hoping for more of Tia and Talon in the upcoming stories. WILD RIDE sets up the next book Wolf’s Mate wherein Talon calls in a marker in his quest to uncover a mole within his MC.

I have been in love with this series since the first book and when I found out that Talon was going to have his own book I was super excited. We first met Talon in Arrow's Hell, book #2 in the series, when we discovered that he is Rake and Anna's stepbrother. There has always been such mystery behind this sexy alpha and I couldn't wait to peel away the layers to find out what really made him tick. He is the President of the Wild Men, a rival MC of the Wind Dragons, but is trying to change the club's dirty past and become a better man. Tia is Bailey's (Rake's old lady) best friend and old neighbor. Tia was first introduced into the the MC lifestyle through Bailey and Rake. When she first meets Talon she is immediately attracted to this gorgeous man and him being the President of a rival MC does nothing to deter from this attraction. The more these two are around each other the more you can see the sparks really start to fly. Tia finally makes a move and is both shocked and hurt when Talon doesn't take advantage. Talon has it bad for Tia but how can he be with this woman knowing she is best friend's with his step-brother's old lady and knowing how much Rake despises everything about him. He doesn't want to cause any more problems between the MC's or Tia and her son. When things start to go bad within his own club, Talon finds himself leaning on Tia and the fire that has been simmering between these two ignites into a fiery passion that will stand the test of time. I really enjoyed this novella. It was a great addition to the series but I do wish Talon had been given his own full length book. I felt that the story could have been spread out a little bit more and would love to have seen their romance develop over time instead of the brief glances we were given. I will warn, this story ends with a bit of a cliffhanger as far as who is causing problems within the MC. I received an eARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

Tia has always had a wild streak a mile long, but she also now has responsibilities, a young son to care for, so she has always has to find a way to maintain a fine line between them. After all it was her wild streak that found her ultimately becoming a single mother, so getting into a relationship with another man is definitely something she has reservations about. But the minute she met Talon her thoughts on relationships completely changed, there's a attraction there that can't be ignored, and she wants to explore the possibilities that lie there. But as it is with everything else in her life there's a glaring fine line there that she must consider... There is a mole among-st the Wild Men, and Talon is determined to find it, no matter the cost... but he also has another problem.., in the form of a very irresistible woman who is determined to win his attention. Being with her comes with a long list of complications, the main one being she has ties to a rival gang and that's just not a line you cross! The more time he spends with her the more he wants to find a way to erase that line and make her is... but she comes with responsibilities, one's he not sure he is the right man to be involved with! This sexy little novella grabbed my attention from the very first page, and held it captive long after the last page was turned. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting Ms. Fernando's motorcycle men, and when I met Talon in Rake's book I instantly had a craving to know more about him... and I am happy to report his story did not disappoint!! The minute he waltzed onto the page I was completely entranced with him, and sold completely on his domineering alpha personality, smooth one liners, caring nature and sexy bedroom abilities!! I absolutely loved everything about this story, and after finishing it I am certain of two things... 1. Ms. Fernando DEFINITELY knows her bikers, and 2. This book has bestseller written all over it!! I highly recommend you acquaint yourself with the men of Ms. Fernando's Wild Dragon's & Wild Men series, not only are they are destined to steal your heart , but they'll also shatter all your misconceptions about bikers, and leave you craving one of your very own!! So are you ready for a “wild ride”?! You sure will get it with Talon’s story. This was everything I was hoping and expecting Talon would be; smart, sexy, loyal, loving and hot as hell in bed. Tia seems to be the only person who knows how to bring Talon to his knees just by being who she is. She is a single mom who is devoted to her young son Rhett and has learned to be strong and not dependent on men after being burnt by her ex-husband. Tia also knows a good thing when she sees it even if he happens to be the president of rival Wild Men MC and not a member of the Wind Dragons in which her best friend Bailey is married to Rake. Oh, yeah and Rake is also the stepbrother of Talon. This story just keeps getting better and better. I’m so glad that Talon’s story has come so soon after Rake’s because in Rake’s Redemption we get to see another glimpse of Talon and he is a man that has caught my attention from the very beginning. You just knew that even though he was president of a rival mc he was different and had so much to offer. This story is all about Talon and Tia’s growing interest in each other in which it takes a strong Tia to make that first move but after that if Talon wanted her he was going to have to man up and take the next step. Talon has a lot going on in his personal life and with his club. There is something going on inside his clubhouse so much so that he doesn’t want to take Tia there to be around the men who are supposed to be his brothers in every sense of the word. Right after one of his men wants to talk to him that man is found murdered within the Wild Men’s clubhouse. What is going on and will Talon find out in time in order to save his mc and is trying to keep Tia and Rhett safe going to be more than he can handle? This book will pull you in and having you doing a happy dance for Talon and Tia but wondering what the hell is going on under Talon’s nose. Does he have anyone within his mc that he can trust or is he going to have to go to the Wind Dragon’s MC for a little help from his supposed allies? The men of the Wind Dragons and even some of the Wild Men are pretty hot alphas that you will fall in love with. All I can say Ms. Fernando is bring on the next installment of this biker series that I cannot seem to get enough of! This book was provided as an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
