The Antonov Company (Ukraine) has been specializing in creating transport aircraft for about 70 years. Among the winged machines developed in Kyiv, there are the world’s largest aircraft the An-124 Ruslan and the An-225 Mriya. 30 years ago, the company formed Antonov Airlines, which was the first in the international market to offer the services of transporting oversized and superheavy cargoes with the aforementioned aircraft. This book tells of the challenging journey the airline company has made from being a subdivision of a secret Soviet enterprise to being one of the world leaders in a quite competitive sector of business. For 17 years, the British company, Air Foyle has been the strategic partner of Antonov Airlines in the international market, with the Ukranian company gaining a lot from this partnership.

In this book readers will also find interesting information on the design, production and use of the An-12, An-74, An-124 and An-225 aircraft.
