About the Author

Frankie Rose is a British expat, who is currently enjoying the perks of living in Australia- her awesome husband, sunshine, and vitamin D. She spends her time creating fictional universes in which the guy sometimes gets the girl, the heros occasionally die, and the endings aren't always happy. But they usually are.

I just finished this book yesterday. It was a wonderful book and towards the end it was very hard to put down. This was a book about Iris/Avery who's father was accused of murder. Unfortunately he was found dead as well. Her father was a teacher and a loving father and husband. Avery holds out hope that her dad was innocent and she has changed her name to try to stop the way people are treating her so she can live a normal life. Unfortunately the issues that happened with her dad wind up following her to college and she goes through a lot of emotional turmoil in this book. I can't wait to read and find out what happens next! I so don't want to wait till October for the next one!

What can I say? I love Callie and now I love Frankie! Avery is wounded. Trying to hide from her past, she is strong but I feel, tired from looking over her shoulder. She tries to find someone in Noah but it doesn't work out when Luke, a blast from her past comes walking in. She can't fight for long...will he be her knight? This book was great. Twists and turns, stoies within stories, hot romance..and now I have to wait!

I really loved this book! There were so many twists and turns to this novel. I don't wanna give all the details in case those of you who haven't read the book are reading this. I honestly can't wait for this author to come out with the second book. I'm so surprised that she hasn't written anything else and can't wait to read more from her. If you haven't read the book, you definitely should. I'm so dreading the wait for the next book to come out. I'm looking forward to it.

Michelle's Review Frankie Rose book “Winter” is full of plot twists, and hidden secrets. This book has such a sad premise, how anyone can live with the stigma of a family member accused of any crime, especially murder. I felt bad for Avery, changing her name and leaving her home town could not keep her away from her past. Luckily she had Luke. I really liked the main characters they are both full of passion and love. As much as Avery tries to deny she loves Luke he will not let her go, until she faces her feelings for him. When they do connect it’s uncontrolled and intense. Although a little slow to start, the pace picks up and I enjoyed the many unexpected twists and turns. This is a good story to remind us how words can hurt but love can heal. Lisa's Addition: This book was INTENSE. It was emotional, it kept you wondering and right on the edge of not quite knowing who to trust, it was an emotional ride with many twists that were not expected and an ending I am thoroughly satisfied with Happily Ever After for now. Definitely Glad there will be more coming down the line. I frequently got frustrated with Avery throughout this book because, thanks to Luke's POV, I wished she'd trusted him more. I love dual POV's in books but I always find myself commenting that I'm mad at one character or another because I can see a more complete picture of what is going on than they can and it's frustrating. But if you can get me into a book deep enough that I'm yelling at the characters, chances are it's a great book.
