Winter Work for the DIY sportsperson

When the wind-whipped whiteness screams out of the west and driving bans confine and restrict your movements, you can put your time to good use or become a couch-potato. Snow days don't have to be wasted. Most of the items mentioned on the following pages were put together using what my wife refers to as 'junk'. Admittedly, most of the items cataloged can be purchased finished and ready to use at your local sporting goods store, but what else is there to do when the snow flies?
