This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog: 4.5 Stars This was a tough read. It’s what I call an emotionally draining story, one of those books that will stick with you for quite some time. Lydia knows loss. She lost her fiancée, and is trying to pick up the pieces of her life. But during a wild weekend in Vegas, she finds herself waking up next to Jacob, a stranger, and her brand new husband. What unfolds between Lydia and Jacob from that point on is, at times, hilarious, sweet, and exceptionally emotional. Of all of the books in this series, this one has been my favorite. It stirred so many emotions. The amount of baggage that had to be sorted through for these two to finally reach their moment of happiness was more than most people would have the patience for. But Lydia and Jacob are both stubborn, determined people, and watching their romance grow was more enjoyable than I’d like to admit. If the rumors are true, and this is the last book of the series, I can honestly say that it definitely went out with a serious bang. ***I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book gifted to the blog in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

Review: WISHING FOR US (A Danvers Novel) by Sydney Landon Publication Date: November 1, 2016 Genre: Contemporary Romance Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Donna Rated: 5 Stars This is a fun light romance that I couldn’t put down. I liked Lydia and Jacob immediately, not to mention the entertaining people around them. They had a screwed up beginning to their relationship, so it was fun watching them navigate around each other. I wanted to bop one of them upside the head a few times for doing something stupid, but that was all a part of them finding their happily-ever-after. I truly enjoyed this sexy little romance. *Review copy provided by Penguin in exchange for an honest review.

A person's ability to expose themselves in their weakest moments is a sign of true character. Perhaps that's what I enjoy most about Ms. Landon as an author. Her knack of humanizing moments of triumph, heartache and showing how some of life's worst moments can become the most rewarding. I received a copy of Wishing for Us in exchange for an honest review. I'm bummed that I discovered the Danvers almost too late. Their devotion to each other whether family or friend is uplifting and the sparks they set off as they find love is irresistible. The beauty of getting to the end, is that there is always a chance to start over again. Copyright of Night Owl Reviews
