I received an advanced reader copy to leave an honest review of this book. I have read the entire SWAT series and love all of the characters. I love how everyone is a great big family and you get to see the characters from previous books. Paige Tyler has a great writing style that is easy to read and keeps you engaged. This book follows Zane, a werewolf who was injured in the previous book and still feels the effects, and Alyssa, an FBI agent that handles cases with unique characteristics. Zane and Alyssa meet in a night club where their two cases seem to intersect. Zane is trying to find the man who betrayed and attacked his pack in Dallas and Alyssa is trying to track down missing woman. Alyssa is used to seeing the abnormal with her cases but usually there is no explanation; she suspects that Zane is unique based on his strength and the comments he makes. When she finds out what Zane really is, a lot comes into focus for her. But they have two very different lifestyles even though they feel a major pull towards one another. The question is whether they can make a relationship work once everything settles. Paige introduces a whole slew of surprises in this book. I cannot wait to see where she takes us next with this series. This was an excellent read and a fresh spin on the series.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebook/Casablanca Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is book 9 in the series. It reads well as a stand alone. It's fast paced and suspenseful. I was confused about "monster" until almost the end. I think it should have been made clear sooner. I think there are many who will enjoy this book. I rate it 3.5 stars.

Review: WOLF INSTINCT (SWAT) by Paige Tyler Publication Date: June 25, 2019 Genre: Paranormal Romance Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Donna Rated 5 Stars What fun! This installment in the SWAT series had mystery, danger, action and of course…romance. I was wondering what would befall Zane and was a bit worried that it would be the stereotypical human damsel. I needn’t have worried. Alyssa turned out to be an FBI Agent tasked with working on possible supernatural issues, so she was not completely clueless to the possibility of the paranormal. That doesn’t mean she wasn’t shocked though. I love that she is a strong woman, but never crossing the line into bitch-mode, thus making Zane’s attraction more than just “she’s the one”. Their relationship developed nicely, letting us see Zane’s Alpha side without it going Neanderthal. Ms. Tyler gave them each a depth that made me care about them. As always, I love the SWAT Team’s camaraderie – now including Alyssa’s people. The book has me excited for new expanding possibilities in the series…I only wish I didn’t have to wait. *Review copy provided NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. ~*~*~*~

Paige's SWAT wolf stories just keep getting better. And yipee the paranormal world has expanded with this delicious story. This makes me very happy. There are so many twists and surprises in this story. That makes it my favorite kind. I love being surprised by the author's imagination. Zane Kendrick is the only Brit in the Dallas SWAT team pack. He's the one shot with wolfsbane poison and almost lost his left arm. He's now the "weak" link on the team and the pack is careful not to have him go it alone, which just torques him off. He, Rachel Bennett and Diego Martinez are trying to track down Randy Curtis, their former boss who tried to exterminate the who pack. He may be hiding out with family who are Black Swan Enterprises, a world money making conglomerate. On an op watching Stefan Curtis, the black sheep of the family, they run into Alyssa Carson an FBI agent trying to locate missing girls. She thinks Curtis is kidnapping them. She's on a FBI/CIA Special (aka supernatural) Threat Assessment Team investigating weird stuff worldwide. Zane wonders if she's the government's arm of hunters exterminating werewolves so the team decides he needs to stick close. It is going to be interesting to see where she takes this series in the future now that we have a bigger supernatural world and we have closed the mystery of who is behind the hunters. I can't wait. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Alyssa is a special agent for the FBI, she investigates crimes that seem to be paranormal in nature, when she runs into Zane, a wolf shifter working for the Dallas SWAT team. She knows something is off since Zane is investigating in LA. Accidently, Zane discovers that werewolves aren’t they only supernaturals in town and at least one of the other supernaturals wants all werewolves dead. Zane recognizes Alyssa as his soul mate, now he just has to convince her and keep them both from dying. Enjoyable and entertaining, Wolf Instinct answered a few questions in this series while opening quite of few new plot avenues and possiblities. I received this ARC copy of WOLF INSTINCT from SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Wolf Instinct by Paige Tyler is the 9th book in her wonderful SWAT series. I am a big fan of this series, as Tyler always gives us exciting stories that are pulse pounding action, with a great couple, and the hot men (werewolves) that make up the Alpha Swat team. Wolf Instinct was another wonderful romance suspense that Tyler does so well. Zane Kendrick, our hero, is a member of the Dallas Swat team, and on assignment with two other members to Los Angeles looking for someone attacking werewolves. Zane does not believe he will ever find the ‘One’ that some of his mates have found, but when he meets an FBI agent who helps him stave off an attack, his instinct senses something different about her. Alyssa Carson, our heroine, has been working as a hunter to discover the reason why many deaths on different cases, were drained of their blood, seeming to be the work of animals (or monster). She was a great kick-ass heroine, who not only was smart, tough, savvy, but also preferring to work as a loner. But when Alyssa meets Zane, she realizes that they seem to be working on similar cases, and decides to work with him. Zane quickly knows that Alyssa is the ‘One’, but he also feels that because of her FBI job and hunting, she may not be willing to become his mate. However, the chemistry between them heats up fast and furious, as they not only made a great team, but a hot one. How will Alyssa react when she finds out that Zane is a werewolf? What follows is an exciting action-packed adventure that will tie in both cases, which Zane and Alyssa are investigating. The story line escalates when they discover that vampires are behind a major organization and the ensuing deaths. Alyssa finds it difficult to believe that vampires exist, but when lives are at stake, and Zane calls in help from the Dallas Swat members, she will call in the FBI for help against a powerful enemy. As we raced to the exciting suspenseful climax, we held our breaths as to who will survive. What I love about this series is not only the suspense and action-packed story; but Paige Tyler always gives us a wonderful sexy couple. Zane and Alyssa had sizzling chemistry, and were great together The last 1/3 of the book was very exciting; I was unable to put the book down. I loved Zane and Alyssa; and I also like Zane’s two partners, whom I hope we get to learn more about them in future stories. Paige Tyler does it again with another intense, intriguing, fun and sexy story, and as always Tyler manages to keep the story in the forefront, and still give us a beautiful sexy romance. Wolf Instinct is another fabulous addition to this series. If you have not started this series, I suggest you do so, as it is a fun, exciting and sexy read and Paige Tyler is an author you need to be reading.

Werewolf Zane Kendrick will do whatever it takes to take the man who attacked his SWAT pack and his search has taken to Los Angeles where a smart, sexy agent comes to his aid and all his wolf instincts tell him that she’s The One. Alyssa arson has investigated some weird stuff lately as a FBI agent and finding people drained of blood definitely falls into their category so when she agrees to work with Zane and his team, she doesn’t have time for the attraction between them. When they discover the sinister truth it will take everything they have to make it out this mission with lives –and hearts- intact. The electrically explosive chemistry between Zane and Alyssa is WOW to the factor of 10 but this relationship has a couple major handicaps which keeps readers on pins and needles. First they have this major mission that takes precedence and some uber important secrets that could implode at any moment, but their attraction will not be denied no matter how much they fight it which has sparks flying in every direction. This fast paced and energetic plot keeps readers on the edge with lots of thrilling suspense regarding not only the relationship and the secrets but of course the search for the bad guys. Stunning twists and world rocking unveilings adds some truly remarkable, adrenaline pumping excitement to this story. These jaw dropping revelations also grips readers hard and has them curious and eagerly awaiting just where the author is taking our favorite SWAT werewolves! STAT someone bring lots of ice, because this is one sexy and red hot read.

I made myself finish this book. I love the Dallas group but they figured very little in this terrible plot, guess now they'll be chasing supernaturals with the FBI?? Why don't they take an add out in the newspaper??? How stupid.

This is the ninth book in this series and finally we get Zane's story We have always known him as the too cool British wolf shifter and got to know a little more about him when he was injured but now we get his full story and what a story it is. Zane blames himself for the death of his squad mates when he was in the British SAS and then he became a monster and lost his fiance and family. He found a new family with the members of the Dallas SWAT but now he is about to find someone even more special. Alyssa has secrets of her own she is hunting the monsters that are killing women in La as their cases overlap they are drawn to one another Will she be able to handle his secret will he finally get the love he wants This is another character driven addition to this series where the adventure and intrigue are just part of a wonderful story If you haven't read any of this series do yourself a favour start at the beginning you won't be disappointed

This is the 9th book in the SWAT series and while it can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend that you read the previous books because otherwise you won't understand the bigger story ARC or what has happened to lead up to events in this book. In this book we finally get Zane's story! Zane is in LA trying to find the man who came after his pack. But while there investigated with some of his pack mates, he meet's FBI agent Alyssa. Alyssa knows there are things that go bump in the night, and her department handles the strange things that may come up. What she doesn't know is the full extent of just how different other's may be. And neither expect to find out that things in their world may not be as cut and dried as they thought they were. I have been impatiently waiting for Zane's story ever since he was hurt in a previous book. And let me tell you, this book in no way disappoints!! I absolutely loved it! Zane is working through his issues as much as possible but he still has personal issues that he has never truly dealt with. But even believing the worst about himself, he still stands up everyday and attempts to protect other people with everything in him. Alyssa is the perfect person for him. She is snarky, kick butt, and she doesn't hesitate to do what needs to be done. Regardless of how she may feel later about her decisions. And he is just as perfect for her. This book also has a decided twist that I absolutely loved! I had wondered about how the bigger story arc would continue to play out, and with this twist I think it just opens it up make it even better! I can't wait for more books and to see exactly where this new story line takes us.

Very enjoyable and entertaining addition to this series! I really like Zane and Alyssa! Their chemistry is sizzling! Zane, is a sexy British werewolf. I mean, come on how can you not love him? Alyssa is an FBI agent and a strong woman, not a damsel in distress. I also really love how accepting she is of Zane especially after she finds out she is The One. . Such a good story that kept me on the edge of my seat near the end there for sure.

Wolf Instinct is the ninth book in Paige Tyler’s SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team Series. It is a direct continuation of the series and I think you need to read all of the books to really understand what is going on. Plus, every book seems to add a little more to the Werewolf lore. Considering the amount of books there are in this series, I am impressed that Paige is able to keep things interesting when I would have thought that she would have ran out of new material. As with all of the other books, a member of the Dallas SWAT team meets the one and things go crazy from there. In Wolf Instinct, SWAT member Zane Kendrick meets FBI agent Alyssa Carson and she is a lot more than Zane is prepared for. Zane and two of his teammates are in hot pursuit of the man who orchestrated the attack on his pack and is also responsible for Zane almost dying from being poisoned. They end up in Los Angeles, California where they not only meet Alyssa but also run into more werewolves as well as a few other surprises that I didn’t expect. For one, Alyssa’s division of the FBI is a lot more informed about creatures that go bump in the night than anyone would have known. Secondly, the pack finally finds out who sent the hunters after them in the first place. Again, this is a continuation from the previous books so if you don’t know what I’m talking about, I can’t help you. This world is very intricate and missing any detail will leave you lost. But that’s what I love about this series. You can really get lost in the drama and the action. It’s a great escape. A lot that gets revealed in Wolf Instinct that really takes the series in an unexpected but fascinating direction. I can’t get into much true detail because that would ruin everything. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book. Zane and Alyssa were really good for each other and their love story was just as good as all of the others in the pack. Everything else that happened was really the icing on the cake. I look forward to the next book in the series. **Received a book copy from Sourcebook Casablanca and voluntarily reviewed.**

If you have never read this author before, know that she writes character driven; action packed reads that will leave the reader both satisfied yet looking for another “fix.” This story is the perfect example of her writing genius. She balances action and heat with a wonderful story line and great character development. I could not me more content with this book. Wolf Instinct is the story of a wolf shifter (Zane) and a monster hunter (Alyssa); you really can’t have more opposite characters then these two, but when Zane’s wolf decides that Alyssa is their mate, nothing will stop them from claiming her. Alyssa on the other hand works in a job that is against everything that Zane is. The Ultimate question becoming, is Alyssa just doing a job or does that job reflects her personal beliefs? Within this story the passion and romantic development is perfect. I loved the push and pull between Zane and Alyssa. They are both trying to fight nature, feelings, professional expectations, and life in general to do what is best for them. I also love this author’s take on the traditional shifter story. It’s both familiar, yet unique and this story felt new and fresh, not at all like the recycled story line so many shifter books seem to have. I loved that it read like a whole new world to me. This story is a fun, flirty and sweet read and I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a lighter and softer shifter story (without all the pain and darkness). It’s extremely character driven so the reader will never be bored. The humor and dialogue that these characters have just makes the book so much more enjoyable. I laughed more than a few times; the action kept me on the edge of my seat and I fell for these characters with each page turned. I received an ARC via NetGallery and I am leaving an honest review.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy. I love those SWAT wolves and now it is Zane;s turn to find his One! Wish I could listen to this book on audio as Zane's British accent is sure to be very, very sexy. As the Dallas SWAT work to find Randy Curtis and more info on the Hunters, four of them end up in L.A. and while they are there, Zane meets Alyssa when they both work to stop two women from being abducted. Both Zane and Alyssa have secrets in their lives and it is hard for either of them to let the other get close. As they work together to figure out what Stefan Curtis is doing with the kidnapped women, they stumble onto an even darker secret and more danger. We finally learn who is behind the hunters and just who is in charge. More importantly their former chief of policy, Randy Curtis, finally gets taken care of. While at the end, it seems like there may be a slowing or even stop to the wolves finding their One, we get a hint that might not be true and that Rachel might be next to find her One. Some hints about this as she keeps having nightmares and feels like she is seeing someone. Definitely, looking forward to that book!!

I loved this book just as I did all the rest of the series. It kept me hooked from beginning to end. There was lots of suspense trying to figure out what would happen next. And what a surprise twist that I did not see coming. This was a great read and makes me eager for the next book in the series.

Dallas SWAT member Zane Kendrick had travelled to LA in order to track down the man who'd tried to eliminate their whole pack six months before. In a close call, Zane rescues two young women with the fortuitous help of FBI agent Alyssa Carson, who had been looking for them. It doesn't take Alyssa and Zane long to figure out they're looking at different sides of the same coin. While Zane wonders if Alyssa is behind werewolf murders that have been occurring over the world, she fears he might be one of the not-quite-human monsters she's trying to apprehend. To complicate matters, she's terminally attracted to the handsome Brit, and he has already caught her irresistible scent: she's The One, his soul mate. But are they friends or foes? WOLF INSTINCT, book #9 in the SWAT series, stands surprisingly well on its own. It consists mostly of a straightforward investigation where Zane and Alyssa combine their efforts to bring down a common enemy. The other members of SWAT, apart from Rachel Bennett and Diego Martinez who accompany Zane on this mission, only play very minor roles. The story is interesting, but not terribly exciting, and the pace is rather slow; there's more talking than doing. However, this does wonders for the romance, as Zane and Alyssa really get to know each other before embarking on any sort of relationship. And when it does happen, the romance felt genuine, and the intimate scenes were sensuous and tender. The second third dragged a little; there were repetitions and superfluous details that felt like filler and attempts to meet the word count, notably the numerous mentions of fries, over which Alyssa fixated. And maybe it was a case of it's not you, it's me, but the humour felt a bit forced; I thought there was almost a YA vibe, at times. Both characters are well developed and have solid backstories, but it was Rachel who captivated me the most; there's something about her that's profoundly endearing. With the Curtis family, the story seemed to be heading in a very promising direction, but they got pushed into the background somehow. I thought Stefan was severely underused; he seemed delightfully wicked. There were some minor contradictions and inconsistencies, and the level of security for the bad guys seemed to fluctuate according to plotline requirements. The ending left me somewhat confused; it was a bit convoluted, and some things felt way too convenient, particularly if one plot twist is confined to this installment. Overall WOLF INSTINCT is rather mellow, and ideal for a lazy summer day.

Happy dance. I love both series by Paige Tyler and though. I am not caught up (I have them all) I could not pass up the opportunity to grab the Arc, Wolf Instinct was fresh, did not read as a ongoing plot in different stories. It was like finding a new author covering new ground with just enough pop of older drop ins from the pack to have the warm fuzzy of family. Alyssa was fantastic! Part of an covert FBI that is aware of supernatural, but not werewolves Strong, self aware women and Zane our hunky damaged werewolf. Our heroes become aware of more supernatural then themselves and as they stake out the bad guys Alyssa and Zane connect. Hot erotic love scenes, which if you don't enjoy (like me) skim over, but don't let that deter you. The plot is intriguing, suspenseful, sexy, family with an awesome HEA. Love the hint of things to come. Thank you Paige Tyler, Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for the Arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own and we're unsolicited

Wolf Instinct is a terrific addition to this series. This story opens up a world of possibilities for these characters. I loved that Alyssa is convincing Zane that he isn’t the monster the bad guys are. Sometimes I found myself wanting to Gibbs smack him for his self-loathing. How is he going to love someone else if he doesn’t like himself? The author handled it wonderfully. I love this series and look forward to the next installment.
