WOLFRAM AND THE RAINBOW RANCH is a Western set in the 1870s (during the administrations of President U.S. Grant). The 60,000-word novel is told in third person point of view. Its protagonist is the grouchy Wolfram Reinboldt, who has a reputation of being "the meanest man in the territory." He lives alone on his ranch and, to pass the time, conjures up imaginary conversation with his late wife Zerelda (or Zee), who died in 1859.
