He is a very strong and dark man. Love the banter between him and Martha. A very enjoyable book. About 300 pages of the readable story. Just have to get the next book in the Trilogy. Because it has a strong cliffhanger not stop now. Got to find out what Anselm has in mind for Martha.

This second book was also a great read, very engrossing story, with twists and turns that surprised me. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it as another very good time travel story. Unusual and different, I could hardly put it down!

Though not as good as book 1, it did give you an ending to the story. Don't think I care to buy book 3.

As gripping & absorbing as the first, hemlock. Martha's& vadim's characters evolve as they struggle to come to terms with each other & the wars & evil that surround them in medieval england. Amidst this darkness, martha's humor & indominable nature keeps her above water with the help of the powerful, overwhelming, & beautiful vadim. As much as he is intrigued by martha, he is suspisious & distrustful of her. Martha is captured by the evil one, but befriends & comes to care for some of the people in the evil one's castle. Tears did come to my eyes over an unexpected character's struggle. & yes, martha does a lot of 21st century cussing, but that is part of who she is & it's really not that bad as swearing goes. Hey, if I had go through what she did. I'd be swearing too!

Enjoyed the story. Could use a bit of editing for grammar and extraneous words. Wish the heroine was a bit less coarse example of a 21st century woman.
