Book 2 in my Women and Adversity series, Recognizing 23 Notable Mothers, features some famous mothers, some mothers of famous people, and other women who earned the title of Mother, such as Mother Teresa and Mother Seton. These brief sketches are not biographies. They can be prompts teachers use that help motivate middle school, high school, and college students to learn more about these women and to achieve their own goals no matter how challenging they seem.
