What People are Saying About This

David J. Marks

“It isn't often that someone can break new ground in the field of woodworking and woodturning and gain acceptance for their work. Keith Lackner is one of those individuals whose drive and passion pushed him to the forefront of what can now be referred to as a new category of woodturning.”

—David J. Marks, designer and craftsman

Alex Snodgrass

“I have known Keith for a number of years, and his artistic talents and techniques have grown in every way. When it comes to resin, he has a unique ability to choose just the right colors and an even better ability to turn them into masterpieces of art. His ability to convey his process is one of his best talents. Teaching is a talent in itself but passion is something you are born with. Keith has more passion than most and I’m proud to call him my friend.”

—Alex Snodgrass, woodturner

Emiliano Achaval

“These past few years, I have noticed a lot of turners using resin to make hybrid blanks. One turner’s work stood way above the rest—my friend, master woodturner Keith Lackner. I was thrilled to hear that now we will have the ‘Bible’ of resin casting and stabilizing woods to learn more about this fantastic and beautiful branch of turning.”

—Emiliano Achaval, the Hawaiian Koa Turner

Mike Mahoney

“Many people think I am a traditionalist when it comes to wood and woodworking. I most certainly appreciate the aesthetics of wood, but mixing in other medias, such as resin, I can appreciate. Keith Lackner’s work is one that stands out in this medium.”

—Mike Mahoney, renowned woodturner, craftsman & instructor

Tim Yoder

“Keith Lackner is one of the most talented and experienced resin casters I know. He has been immensely helpful to me in setting up my pressure pot and working out my casting issues. Resin might seem simple, but there are so many little things that can make your project either a failure or a success. I highly recommend getting Keith’s book; with his help, you too can become a skilled resin artist.”

Tim Yoder, Host of Woodturning Workshop on PBS; Woodturning with Tim on YouTube; Tim's Tools LLC

Steve Sinner

“Keith has turned heads with his innovative use of wood and resin combinations. He has inspired many to create their own versions of these attractive works of art.”
