As a member of the Bourbon Street Boys private security firm, Antoinette “Toni” Delacourte is one strong woman, but despite her reputation for being tough as nails, she is haunted by her past mistakes. Now they’re catching up to her, and throwing her for a loop.

Ten years ago, Toni kissed Lucky, her brother’s best friend. Worried it would break apart the group she’d come to see as family, she walked away—straight into the arms of Charlie, and an abusive relationship.

For the past decade she’s tried to keep her feelings for Lucky platonic—he’s her friend, her colleague, and he’s got his own past to deal with. Free of Charlie but unable to shake his memory, Toni finds herself feeling vulnerable and unable to deny her attraction to Lucky any longer.

She’s always thought that kiss was her first mistake, but now she’s wondering whether the real mistake was running away.

Well we finally get Toni"s story, and to be honest, I didn't want her with Lucky, I felt he deserved better. Also, while Ozzie did get a little tough with her, I still think he should have, because May is his fiance, and she should come first.

3.25 stars--WRONG QUESTIONS, RIGHT ANSWER is the third installment in Elle Casey’s contemporary, adult THE BOURBON STREET BOYS romantic, suspense series focusing on the New Orleans private investigation firm of the same name. This is team members Antoinette ‘Toni’ Delacourte, and Chance ‘Lucky’ Larieux’s story line. WRONG QUESTION, RIGHT ANSWER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and history. Told from first person point of view (Toni) WRONG QUESTION, RIGHT ANSWER is a story of second chances/friends to lover romance between co-workers and friends Toni and Lucky. Toni and Lucky shared a fated kiss close to fifteen years earlier, and in the ensuing time Toni has never forgotten the man with whom she fell in love. Trying desperately to separate herself from Lucky our heroine ran headfirst into a ten year, abusive relationship that ended with Toni making the biggest mistake of her life. Fast forward to present day wherein Lucky and Toni both work for The Bourbon Street Boys, and one drunken night of sex will change their lives forever. While the team continues to investigate the latest criminal gang activity in the Sixth Ward, Toni and Lucky struggle with their renewed friendship and relationship. Toni is a strong-willed, physically aggressive and bitterly angry female heroine. She is a woman whose attitude and cold emotional persona is difficult to accept under any circumstance but she is also a woman embroiled in so much crippling guilt it eats away at her heart and soul. Toni’s self-deprecating attitude, and TSTL (too stupid to live) immature actions make for some troublesome and stressful issues throughout the story. Lucky is a man whose past haunts him on a daily basis, and one final straw finally pushes our hero over the edge. The relationship between Toni and Lucky is one of mutual and unrequited love; it will take a major shift in priorities and Toni’s inability to leave the past alone to make our couple understand that what it is lies before them is the most important issue in their life. The $ex sense are limited; seductive and intense. All of the previous story line couples and characters play secondary and supporting roles. Boss man Ozzie and his girlfriend May (Wrong Number, Right Guy 1) take their relationship up a couple of levels while the team prepares for their upcoming nuptials. The world building continues to focus on the private investigations and friendship dynamics of the Bourbon Street Boys team. The camaraderie and interactions are reminiscent of family and love. But I did question the direction of the current investigation as the conflict was over rather quickly and in the end the reader is never truly aware of the meatier investigation details or the who, what and why. WRONG QUESTION, RIGHT ANSWER has moments of romance, humor, action and suspense. The premise is entertaining; the main characters are broken and somewhat tragic; the romance struggles with surprises and revelations, and ghosts from the past.

4.5 Stars! With this being the 3rd standalone installment of The Bourbon Street Boys series, we were able to get to know the MC's Toni and Lucky before they got there own book. I can usually tell if I will look forward to certain characters story or not when you get glimpses. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Toni is a tough-as-nails chick. What glimpses we've seen of her in previous books, I just wasn't sure if I would like her story. I actually really adored her story! She came to life in her own book. Instead of just being the tough girl that doesn't let anyone in, we get to see her thought process and learn so much more about her. I liked what I saw. Yes, she was tough but her grudgingly affection towards silly May and her sister Jenny was more heartwarming than someone that accepted everyone from the start. I loved reading how these two woman were growing on her. Then you get to see her with Jenny and Dev's kids. Toni really thought kids didn't like her, yet their interactions was just so cute! The only time I really got frustrated with Jenny was when she wouldn't let Lucky be as sweet and attentive to her like he wanted in the beginning. I hated that she had to do her tough girl routine with him, but she doesn't do it for long. I really wanted to see her accept Lucky and when she did, it was beautiful! Great book and I can't wait for the next one! ***ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Finally the story I've been waiting for! In the prior books of the series we got glimpses of Toni and you just knew she had a troubled past. Well now we have her story and it's a great one! This is the third book in the series but you can easily read each one standalone. Toni may appear stone cold and hard but underneath that exterior is a woman who has been hurt. Badly. To prevent that ever happening again she's put up walls. Big strong tall walls. The only one who seems to be able to get around them is Lucky. They've been able to keep things platonic between them for the sake of the team but it seems that isn't possible any longer. Can Lucky get Toni to tear down those walls completely?? Is it worth risking their friendship and working relationship? Can Toni finally put the past truly in the past?? You definitely want to grab this one and find out. I highly recommend it.

LOVED this book! I've enjoyed each book in the Bourbon Street Boys series and this novel is no exception. This is Toni and Lucky's story and gives us insight into who they are and why they are the way they are. Neither Toni nor Lucky had a good home life and, as a result, neither had many positive relationships. Toni's has had serious anger problems and made many destructive decisions, to the point that she even spent time in prison. Finally, we learn why. This is a compelling novel with many poignant moments as we experience two characters going through tremendous growth and changes. They do all that while still completing an investigation for the police department and assist in getting criminals off the streets. This is a must read for fans of the genre. While it is a stand alone novel, you will enjoy it so much more if you've read the prior books in the series.

3.75stars Wrong Question, Right Answer is another of the Bourbon Street Boys series. I must say that I was surprised when I found out that this story was about Toni and Lucky I didn’t know that they had a thing in the past. And of course they try to deny it until a couple of beers had taken all brakes away. It is interesting story and in this book the author is touching a little bit deeper feelings. Especially Toni and her way of thinking I just bad mix that Lucky and his and you have recipe for disaster. But another brighter light come in their lives which changes everything. I liked how we catch a glimpse of the other couples which add a little funny note in the most serious book in the series. *ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

Wrong Question, Right Answer is book three in The Bourbon Street Boys series by Elle Casey. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley, Montlake Romance, and by Elle Casey. I loved the first two books in this series. Actually, I believe I’ve loved every single book I’ve read of Elle’s. I have to say that I believe this book is completely different then the first two of the series. The humor is still there, the wonderful characters, but I’ve said before that whenever I wake up in the morning and the first thing that pops into my mind is the characters of the book I was reading the night before, I know there is something special about that book. And, that is exactly what happened with this book! We met Toni Delacourte in the both of the previous books and got to know her as the dark, somewhat mysterious and angry co-worker of The Bourbon Street Boys. We know she has a dark past and the only person she shares with is her boss, Ozzie. This entire book is told from her point of view. What we didn’t know is that Toni and Lucky have known each other since they were kids. Neither of them had good home lives so they and Toni’s big brother formed a little group of their own. What Toni didn’t realize is that Lucky had a crush on her and ten years ago, he braved a kiss. But Toni didn’t want to take the chance of destroying what they had. She simply couldn’t lose that. So she never allowed it to happen again. Instead she hooked up with Charlie and began a five year abusive relationship. Circumstances and several alcoholic beverages help Lucky and Toni to take a new turn to their relationship. Both are forced to face the feelings they have for one another they have suppressed since they were kids. First, I want to say that I am totally in love with Lucky. This guy had me swooning all over the place. He is hilarious. He is so gorgeous that he grows a beard to try to diminish his handsomeness. But Toni has to admit it doesn’t help. Nothing can make him less gorgeous. He also has something in his past that keeps him from being completely happy. Together, can these two find a way to move forward and leave the past behind? Until they truly do, how can they ever be a couple? We get quite a bit of May from the first book in this one and her relationship with Toni. I loved May so much and she was just as amazing in this book. I loved how their friendship evolved in this one. Really, this book could be called the evolution of Toni. She went through so much and I so loved who she finally allowed herself to be. You could read this book as a stand alone but I really encourage you to start at the beginning and meet May and Ozzie first. Then the second book is about May’s sister, Jenny, and Dev. This one will mean so much more if you have previously met the other members of their team. There was just something about this book, though, that sticks. That really made me feel things for the characters. Lucky is just so amazing. If you read this, you’ll see what I mean. He’s one of those impossible not to love guys. So, if you haven’t already, start with book one and meet The Bourbon Street Boys. I hope you love them as much as I have. Thanks to Elle Casey for another wonderful, heart warming, funny, romantic book. You…are…amazing!

The plot centers around Toni and Lucky, members of the Bourbon Street Boys security firm. I had read the previous books of this series, The Bourbon Street Boy. and had high hopes for it, especially since I had absolutely loved the last one Wrong Place , Right Time. Sorry to say I was disappointed. It wasn’t until almost 1/2 way through the book that I got into it. I wasn’t too crazy about the main character, Toni. I also found Lucky, at first a tad weak and not well developed. Once the plot started moving , it was an easier read. Still, I would recommend it, especially if you have read the previous books. Received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.
