what more can i say , you will loe this story, it has intrigue, murder, love, twin hunks, insanity, and just plain fun, set in the regency era . recommend to romance lovers who believe in soul mates and love at first sight.

I enjoyed this historical romance quite a bit, though I was taken aback to see that it was written in 1st person. The author carried the 1st person perspective off better than I expected. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I enjoyed the book but got a little annoying how the author constantly had to remind readers how perfect and beautiful main characters sister is

Such a great story. The characters feel so real, the story keeps you turning the page. 500+ pages & I read it in a day, it was that good. Marked the other series on my wishlist as I look forward to mire of Richard & Rose.

WHile I don't read historical romances so much anymore I think Yorkshire is a step above and apart from the norm. The h/h are refreshing in their flaws and attraction to eachother. I liked it taking place more in the Georgian era too - a little more freer time.

This addictive read is set in the mid-18th century. Richard and Rose tumble into an enduring and steamy affair soon after they meet. Unfortunately he is already betrothed and while Rose is technically free she has given another man reason to believe his suit will be accepted by her. The story involves this complex situation, with a murder mystery twist. This is the first volume in the Richard and Rose series. My feelings are quite mixed. Richard has charisma, but he is rather despicable. He is a hardened, manipulative flirt, who will overcome any obstacle to get his way. His one redeeming feature, if such it is, is the all-consuming love he forms for Rose when he first meets her. She falls passionately in love with him soon afterward. The author gets the feel of the period right. The morality may be appropriate for the setting, but it put me off. Furthermore, Rose's erstwhile suitor is a clergyman, and I am beyond tired of clergymen being cast as villians, fools, and lechers.I read the next two volumes: Devonshire: Richard and Rose, and Venice: Richard and Rose. If you liked this novel I believe you will like those two. I bought Harley Street: Richard and Rose before reading the reviews, but having done so I will probably not read it or the remainder of the series.

Truly felt I was there watching the story unfold. Like another reviewer, I got sick of the author stating how beautiful the sister was, but that was my only problem with the story. The sex isn't much, and not explicit as in some books. I will the next book of the series. I wish the author or publisher offered this series as a bundle. I think there are 8 books to this series and at $4.99 each, a little steep for me. I do believe in love at first sight, so that part of the story was convincing for me. Had some twists I didn't see coming and a lot of suspense. I would recommend this book. Over 600 Nook pages. (ljb)

A first person voice. I love those kinds of stories, especially when they are well written, and this is a very well written novel. Highly rec. Got the next one and am in the middle of it. Looks like I will be reading for a while, given that there are eight books in this series. Yay!

400 pages in and this book is still incredibly boring. I'm going to stop reading it. This never happens. I'm very easy to please when it comes to books, so it's saying a lot I'm deleting it.
