When you talk to God, do you ever feel as if you are not getting through?
You're not alone. At some point, most believers find themselves grappling with difficult questions like Would God really talk to me personally? and How do I know it's truly God talking, and not my own thoughts?
But here's the good news: Hearing God is simpler than you think.
It's possible to have a relationship with God that involves both speaking and listening. In fact, it's God's desire; He wants to talk to you.
In this revised and expanded edition of a classic work, author and teacher Steve Sampson shows you how to pray not just wishing you'd hear God's voicebut expecting to hear it.
Sampson's uncomplicated, practical perspective will help you cultivate the two-way conversation with God you've always longed for. Before long, you'll hear Him speaking into your circumstances and relationships, expressing His love for you and showing you the next steps to take in your life.
Don't settle for a one-sided conversation with God.
Break through this barrier and develop a sensitive heart that hearsand responds toGod's still, small voice.
"With clarity and humor, Steve takes you on a journey to the place of profound simplicity in Christ where hearing Him is as natural as breathing."Bishop Mark J. Chironna, M.A., Ph.D., Church on the Living Edge, Orlando, Florida

*I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Do you hear God? Asking a questions like that may get you some strange looks, maybe even causing some to question your sanity. Hearing from God almost seems to take on a mythical connotation for some. Steve Sampson disagrees. In his book, You Can Hear the Voice of God, Mr. Sampson shares various ways to hear the voice of God. Such ways include: Scripture, the Holy Spirit, other believers, visions, and your conscience. What I enjoyed about this book was that it was simple to read and understand. It didn't require a theological understanding of God but rather the goal was to develop a personal relationship with God.
If like me your wondering if God is listening or if your praying wrong, read this book and get the conformation that you need that not only are you being heard but God speaks in many different ways and you just maybe missing his answer by being unaware of all the ways he speaks to us. There are at least ten different ways to hear from God (may be more) but you will hear him in at least a few. One important being expecting to hear, having an expectation is key to hearing on any level you must believe in order to receive. Steve Sampson has 30yrs experience and his gift has changed countless lives, it's exciting to read. You have an opportunity to learn how to tune into techniques to become more intimate and come boldly to God yourself. Learn the truth about the temple and where it really is, how far the drive is to get there . Find your spiritual equilibrium and finally practical guidelines to hearing from God right at your fingertips. I was given this book by Chosen books for an honest review and glad to have it, a must read, very encouraging and a personal handbook for anyone to have.
