I liked the main character enough, but mostly I just felt bad for her... and James, the lead male, really is a douche. I can't understand any draw to him. Which, in turn, makes me like Anna a little less.

James is a huge f*ckboy and Anna is falling to his trance it is a bad idea

So much whining. Annabelle is a) not fat, and b) incapable of standing up for herself. But this book should go a long way toward fostering eating disorders in young women, so if the goal was to make young women into walking carpets who believe that their healthy body weight is actually obesity, then Tork totally nailed it.

3.5 stars!! This was such a cute read! It reminded me of when I was in high school and crushing on a football player. It definitely brought back memories. Annabelle made me laugh enough and it was cute, actually, to see how once does not have control of oneself when they're darn head over heels over somebody. I think she did awesome and didn't give in to James. I liked James. Typical "it" guy who thinks his s*** don't stink. I'm glad Annabelle is perfect for giving him a hard time and not falling for his cockiness. I will definitely continue the series!

This free young adult book is 130 pages long. It could use some editing for both grammer and punctuation. It is written in first person format. There are a few curse words. No sex or violence. Some romance and making out. It is about a high school senior and some of the challenges she faces as an imperfect person, in a perfect family. Her family does want to accept her for the wonderful person she is, as they cannot see past the superfical. There is no conclusion, the book just stops, in what seems like the middle of the story. As of November 11, 2013, there is no sequel. I bet the reader will have to pay for the next book when it comes out, to find out what happens. I really enjoyed this book and if it had been complete and without errors, I would have rated it five stars. Recommended for adults that are young at heart or young people, ages 13 and up. Chick lit.
